There aren't "bugs" in connection code as much as it needs to be identify players whose routers are too difficult to traverse. We are working on updates in the coming days that will give players more control over the connection in games. As for the pantheon games, when there are very few people online, it will take longer for it to find opponents. This is already changing even as the game is made available.

Impulse version: v1.00.47 Game EXE version: 1.00.0091 CVP version: 1.0 This version migrates licensed users to the new server clusters to play. Should be much more responsive and the multiplayer handling should be much nicer.
If you wish to carry on a Dota vs. Demigod discussion ad nauseum please find another forum. The issue has been debated endlessly here for months already. Some people who like Dota will like Demigod. Some people who like Dota won't like Demigod. And vice versa.
Almost the same words were used to describe Galactic Civilizations versus Space Empires IV. People who loved Space Empires did not necessarly love Galactic Civilizations or vice versa. Same will be true of Demigod vs. Dota.
Hang in there. If you haven't received it by this evening, drop a note to with the email address you used to purchase it and we'll take care of you.
The servers are being migrated. If you are still having this problem tomorrow, let us know.
We aren't disputing that you're hearing sound crackling on your machine. We just aren't sure what we can do about it. We will look into it.
Yes. You are fine. Right out, the servers are being migrated from the pre-release group to the release group during which time the server availability will be problematic.
I would check your sound drivers. There are no known sound problems with Demigod.
We've not heard any problems with LAN. Check to make sure your friends are truly on the same LAN as you are.
What is displayed in Impulse is not the same thing that Demigod displays in game. We realize it's confusing but it's an issue of internal build numbers versus the release build numbers. It's the same on every other title on Impulse. 91 is the latest.
This has nothing to do with peer-to-peer. All MP connectivity still involves sending data to our servers (pantheon stats, logon credentials, etc.). They're being migrated to the release-day servers but until that migration is complete, it's going to be slow.
When this happens, it is 99.9% of the time caused by people who are using a differnet Impulse ID to logon to the game than the one that the game is associated with. For instance, alban987, you do not have Demigod associated with your Impulse account. I can't tell you why that is. Typically it's due to people ordering with a different email address. For now, I'd contact where they can work with you to merge accounts. Though, bear in mind
I think he's being tongue in cheek.

We have a pre-day 0 update that consists of the changes listed in Yarlen's posts. The official day 0 update will be released tomorrow though the updates there are mostly regarding server features and not gameplay changes.
The game is very very LAN friendly. 1 copy could take care of a LAN.
Demigod will run on SP2 as well.
I know we want mods so we will be working with GPG to see the best way to have mods without it affecting multiplayer negatively.
The Experience tag is the Elo rating and is the default ranking system used.
You will be charged shipping and handling and some countries will sometimes impose a VAT tax of some kind but it tends to be randomly enforced and depends on which country.
http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/demigods/ We have updated the Pantheon today to now include the top Demigods which allows us to see which Demigods people are playing and their winning percentages.
From the perspective of a buyer, there's absolutely no reason not to buy a "used" license, since in functionality it's exactly the same as a "new", it's just cheaper.
There is no reason not to buy a used version IF there is a copy available.
To the people that say you have to have steam running to play your games, You are completly wrong. I use Offline mode almost all the time. Most third party games can be started without starting steam. Steam has the best backup feature for games. 1 other good thing about steam is that you can take your hdd that steam is installed on and put it into any other computer and launch steam with out having to actually ins
