Grey Bird: I had that annoyance with Wincustomize browser wanting to update everytime I opened SDC, and would never update anything. Then I got my subscription and it finally took the update.

I don't know if this will help anyone with the explorer.exe crashes, but it helped me. The option to open explorer in seperate process: uncheck it. Yes, I know that it is useful when you have a crash, it is supposed to keep the whole of the shell from crashing, but I think that is a myth or something, because it works oppostie for me. But I am not running WinXp like they, being Microsoft, recommend either. I admit I had problems with the first beta

I can't get any browser except Maxthon to skin by WB5...and of course IE6. and Maxthon doesn't get the toolbar skinned...

Ronan, what video card are you using? If it is an older card, first try going into the "troubleshooting" section of WBConfig. Down at the bottom, click "Enable if you have corrupted titlebar and text background". If this doesn't work, you options narrow slightly.

Maxthon browser in Internet WinCustomize Forums

Just because I am anti-proprietory about the software I choose, I don't like to use IE6. I've tried NeoPlanet, Avant, Firefox and others not so much free but share. Well, unless you've got NeoPlanet Browser archived somewhere dark and hidden, I can't find it on the internet anymore. Avant, it's tabbed sidebarred and all that. Even skinned.
