#3 by Governor Darth Kryo Monday, March 13, 2006 9:37:03 PM The game requires a fully DirectX9 compliant video card to display everything correctly; the GeForce4MX series are only DX7-compliant (the MX'es are actually not much more than slightly enhanced GeForce2's). To my knowledge the requirement of a DX9-compliant card is mentioned in the system requirements. Unfortunately, there's no c

you want some steps? ok step form. make sure you maxed out ur civ abilities and techs in the civ screen before the game starts. also use the CTRL N button to make a new galaxy right off the start if you find urself in an unlikeable one. when u get to the game colonize first and ask questions later is a good plan. use all ur money right up to 200 bc on colony ships. you also HAVE to pay attention to your domestic stats. at the beginning of the game and

one of the many cool add ons from the custom ships that i was happy to see different from beta are the lights you can place on the ships... if they worked like i think they should. They all appear as just white round spots. first i thought it was just in the build screen, then i noticed they were the same when traveling on the screen. still hopeful i was disapointed to see there also just white rounf things in the battle scenese to. how should the lights act and how can i fix this anyone? also note that setting a rally point on a starbase will make still give you the option of upgradeing it if u send a constructor that way. very good for starbases but i have not found how to alter a rally point under a starbase so careful with that. rally points can be set to fleet (auto formal fleet) normal, and auto attack. Their name can be changed whenever you want and you DO NOT HAVE TO LAUNCH A SHIP to make it go to a rally point. just select the ship from the planet then select the rally

i tried that and it didnt work but then again i didnt shut down my game fully. im redoing the process with Galciv shut down fully. but still... this shouldnt be happening. had the same problem when i was testing the beta. i also would not like to so my old ship designs carrying on to my next game. i often persue different tech rates and want to redesign my ships. the choice should be given or maybe it is and i didnt see it.

nope sorry way past. public beta closed in December and even the beta is outdated by the super testers doing gamma build. but its less than a month away. to final release who wants beta at this point? if you preorder you still get cool stuff (that means preorder now!)

yea customizing your home planet would be nice. if you think about it its factual to because that race has been there so long the planet proably affected by them. as for other planets, be cool to design continents in the shape of your name. as for it would take to implemeant this... im just guess but the code for this would proably be alot to put in. (cough Galciv II expansion cough)

yea... Halo 3 is gonna be announced and that will be all she wrote. until then, im not getting one. the truth is there really are no games that actually tap the 360's power. as for Sony and Nintendo, well nintendo is sad to say a true gaming company that has fallen off the mainstream. And while the PS2 was less powerful than the xbox (dont get mad at me its stastics) the PS3 is gonna be more powerful than the 360 but ive heard game developers dont like

yea thats not hard to do at all. espcially on anything below a large map. esentially u could have this sensor ship move in, plot attack locations for ships waiting nearby, then have the scout drone move out. this would only have a real purpose if u had fast ships and you wanted to attack other ships.

the battles are also really pretty . and there is a triangle based weapon/ defense system but not the usual kind. it means there are three different types of defense that can defend against three types of different offense. if it sounds complicated its not. its really helpful and can give a small ship a big advantage over a larger ship. one more reminder like darth kryo said theres no way to

if you wanna check if you have the game cant you try registering it with stardock central? (downloadble software that handles all stardock software) and seeing if it works. i dont know if thats possible or not since theres no public beta to download anymore.

having the name is nice and all but does this mean were either going to have to personally name all our starbases or memorize the numerical name? will we be able to see where it is like a snap to(which would be good for planet news to but not bugging for it cause i know its too late in the game)
