So we finally went ahead and released our game,
wow, that scares me... i've been here sooooo long... i think i remember playing stellar frontier back in 2000... then i moved to galciv. But my account here says 2002. you've defintitaly made more of your time here than i have, congrats!
rock climbing is awesome, your should try it if you haven't yet, and not just some indoor gym
I've grown up with cats all my life, I remember the first one we got when I was 3 years old, and just this past week my parents got another one, a wee little kitten they named "leelon" (after wee-one, I don't know how it is spelled). My mom is a crazy cat lady, haha. She opened a yarn store and named it after one of our cats, MewMew. But because he was older and she wanted to take him to the shop with her she got a new one and named it MewMew as well, which she trained to come and go to the s
I like hugs. Have you seen this? http://www.freehugscampaign.org/
http://www.myspace.com/jonaswills I've got this funny song on there I think if any of you have programmed will like, just found it last night
Looks awesome! It took me forever to convince my boss that it would be way easier to rewrite to .net 2.0 then continually update a 1.1 app. Cant wait!
psh! your never too old to go trick or treating... some of us went out last year when I was 20... it was a blast... people thought it was funny and we kept hearing "arn't you too old to be trick or treating?" but they still gave us candy! Yea, we were in a college town though and the houses we went to were mostly college houses.... plus a lot of the time we ended up just going insi
Woo! We submited our game to the student competition... it's so exciting, we really think we have a GOOD chance of getting in the top 12, so GDC here we come!
What graphics care you have? I've got a macbook with the gma 950 and when I run parallels with dx on it crawls! If I turn of dx is runs fine so I just run parallels w/out dx and then if I need it I boot up into windows with boot camp. I think its awesome I can run the same windows on parallels/boot camp. I'm wondering how well multiplicity would run with coherenece, something I should try out if I get the chance, cause that could be awesome
Well we did it, we are finally releasing a limited beta of our first game, Electropy. It was a very long night and we learned a lot real fast about creating installation files, saving settings in users' settings and getting pissed at our web hosting for not allowing dmg files to be downloaded(for the Mac version). Electropy works on Windows and Mac, we hav
I think it would be nice to have a place to track threads/articles that you have replied to, without having to add it to the "watch list". Sometimes I forget which posts I have replied too and I have no idea is someone responds!
I came up with the exact same realization this week! At work, I get tons of e-mail requesting so much stuff, so I just flag it for follow up and if there it is *really* important I put a date on it and might add it to my calendar. Its been working really well for me at work, but I'm trying to get the same motivation for keeping track of school work and other things outside of work, the only problem is no one e-mails me asking me to do that st
Thanks! Yea, we have a lot of cool things going on, the changing gravity really makes some interesting gameplay! We are working hard to get the demo up next weekend, I'll make another post when it's available.
I posted before about the development of our game Electropy here: Link We just released a gameplay trailer and it's made it's way to the featured media on gametrailers.com and we are all really excited. So go visit the site and check out the trailer, it's a bit epic but a fun watch and
Hello everyone! Just thought I'd like to share a bit about the computer game I'm part of a team working on right now, Electropy. To sum it up: Electropy is a side scrolling action arcade title with a fundamental gameplay twist. Rather than dire
Ohh, I've been using Vista for so long now, we deployed it on some of our computers in my college's computer lab(where I work) when it was in beta(we like to be ahead of everyone else with all the new stuff)... we were some of the first to deploy it like that in a lab enviroment with people coming and going and spent a lot of time on the phone with microsoft, especialy with the roaming profiles. I'm losing this weekend trying to get permissions fixed
Oh I know how that is, I have to take 10-15 pills a day and I'm only 21 due to crohn's. I used to not take anything, even pain killers, but now I have more drugs in my medicine cabinet than most 80 year olds... haha, I can't imagine how many I will have when I'm that age! I couldn't stand those fish pills, they made me burp all the time, smelled like fish!
My dad bought a PS3 just so he could play around with the processor... I don't think he has done much with it other than install Gentoo but I rented Oblivion once when I went back and he liked it so much he bought it... haha. I'm going to get a chance to do some programming on it when he sets me up an account on the network, should be fun!
haha, I have your terrain book, I havn't read it yet though, just used it mostly for reference... that's pretty funny about the English major... I was computer science but switched to Applied Computing Technology which is still computer science but has a lot of journalism and business in it... I just got tired of the way CS classes were taught and found I could learn much more and much faster on my own or while at work, so I might as well use
Those new screenshots look real nice! Definatly a game I have to keep an eye on
GalCiv2 is an awesome game, but I have my hopes on Oblivion for GOTY
Yea It works on my laptop which makes me happy(although it is quite slow ) Now I've got something fun to do while in my boring lectures in class... and because my desktop is broken its all I got right now <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/
I think most atheists are actualy agnostic... I'm agnostic... I don't beleive in any certain god or think that any religion is correct... but I have hopes that there is something greater out there that hopefuly has a plan or something for existance... but its only a hope. I also really respect people that can have faith in their religion and arn't trying to impose it on others... I just can't do it, and I've seen friends go through so
