I've got four Samsung displays, and even on the ones designed for use as monitors, they factory default to overscan mode on digital connections and have to be put in PC Mode to render the signal 1:1. The correct setting appears to be commonly called "Full Pixel" in the picture mode or display settings on Sony TVs.
I've heard of 'overscanning', especially in gaming. The 26" HDTV I hook my laptop to doesn't have

I thought this was interesting.... Firefox for Windows 8 Touch, the browser destined for Windows 8's "Metro" user interface (UI) -- the part of the OS that relies on colorful tiles, mobile-style apps and touch -- will not be released March 18 as part of Firefox 28 as originally planned. "We've been watching Metro's

I don't use it...yet. I have been begging the wife to cut the damn cable and try going with a few services like Amazon, Netflix, and/or Hulu. I've looked into Roku as well. I don't have to go into detail when I say I am sick...f-ing sick of Timewarner and all their endless bs. I want to tell them to take a flying leap so bad. If it weren't for my daughter, I think my wife might be more willing to try something different. Financially, going with ju

Tool around with those.
Definitely try your graphic card control panels. I used to use an HDTV and they have odd default resolutions. You have to test them to see what works, what comes close. 1440x900 worked well on the 26" HDTV I used. You will probably need t

So I just updated smartdefrag on a friends laptop and noticed...immediatley after the install the window opens to have you do a few more things to complete the install...and down at the bottom of this window (it's all black with small white font) are the options to ad the iobit toolbar, make iobit your homepage/search engine, etc...all with teeny tiny little boxes (pre-checked with blue check marks) . I missed this on my own upgrade. I also imagine a LOT of folks mi

I have had zero issues with defrag3 and I recently uninstalled systemcare (I have some redundant apps) and still no issue. I wonder if it is exclusive to 64bit. I had an recent issue and had to run some stuff and iobit programs came up as problematic, which surprised me. I had to uninstall the iobit uninstaller and iobit malware fighter (which both 'slipped in' with another iobit install. I am finding more and more software companies are doing this. I recently ran into this wi

Did you ever stop to think that it's YOU? You and that stupid hat you wear? Or the way you're always doing whatever, you know? I for one, have had just about enough and all I can stand or take!!! You come, you go, you post, you don't, you comment...I mean, for crying out loud...just exactly where does it freaking end with you???? Oh, and the whole 'Australian commuter' synopsis, I mean, what? What is that? What is that supposed to be about, really? Like, no one els

I also missed the thread/issue/whatever over trolling, etc. That aside... I wouldn't put it past folks to down-rate a skin out of spite. Keep in mind though that if I understand it correctly if 'I' were to vote a skin a 5 I couldn't change it later. If that is true, then the downgrading came from people who had not yet voted. Also keep in mind that (again if I understand the system) a Journeymans vote may carry more weight then an apprentice. (Correct me if I am wrong)

Sweet! Even better that it does seem (so far) to run quite well on W7. I'm so far behind and have no idea when I'll ever get W8 or be able to update my subs, so this was a treat. Thanks for the post and link Redneck!!!!! I haven't been able to do much graphically but hope to soon. I've been having some vision issues but hope to have them corrected soon. Then, the only on-line gaming (Star Trek On Line) I do has updated and surpassed my pc/graphics card and is all but imp
