Starhaus, I've logged in as you and seen it being unhappy, though it's not clear to me why. I've flagged that for someone to look at and forced a serial change. Logon again and you should be set. Kris

6.30 has been republished tonight to hopefully correct that .net issue on 64-bit. And to prevent downloads from looping with SDC installs. Kris
Email [email protected] what you ordered and I'll sort it tonight. Kris
nim8or, it looks like your order didn't go through (at least if it was under the same email as your stardock.net account here). I would place it again and contact sales on Monday to make sure there weren't 2 charges. Kris
I have reforced the file sync on SDC downloads to stop them looping. Kris
The download looping is sorted. I neglected to update an entry for a file redirect to the faster servers.
rightwingtroll, you should be sorted now if you restart Impulse.
Please check if an anti-virus app is trying to scan the .sdc file as it gets downloaded and extracted in your TEMP directory as well.
The DeskScapes Free installer linked from http://dream.wincustomize.com has been refreshed to remove its May 1st timeout. It does not include any new dreams, but does have some minor tweaks including better UI handling on non-English versions of Windows Vista.
Thank you for the feedback, Tournicoti. If you compare the files against the other secondary that's working, are they the same? Are there any entries in the Event Viewer that indicate if it's the MP service blowing out? You may need to go into safe mode on the secondary to see that and/or rename the directory if appropriate to prevent the service loading. Is there any apparent difference installing using the standalone installer? Kris
I have updated the naming. I'm afraid it's still contributing roughly the same amount to the heat death of the universe, as the string length is the same. Kris
I've tried to figure it out on my end, but I'm at a loss. The area of the installer script in question would start the "maintenance" phase of the install, but that doesn't seem to lead anywhere. I've sent you a private email with an installer built using the older WISE method.
I built the standalone installer before all the SDC/Impulse builds were published to the public, so it just claims it's 1.04 vs the 1.04.022 revision the servers used for SDC and the like on release. I'll see about updating that tomorrow for the version key. No files different. Kris
There were lots of little files for the 1.04 update. Getting them all down as fast as possible for the 1.04 update was less than pleased on some (but not all) machines. If it was happy and you were able to play like online like Hollow Man, it's fine, shouldn't need to worry about it. Use the standalone update or SDC if appropriate for tonight. Link above in post #1. Kris
I've removed the display check from the installers and reuploaded them. Please redownload, same URL.
narbytrout and wulfn1, what anti-virus packages might you be running? Or firewalls?
I think we've managed to narrow down what is going wrong, though we're still working out the details of the why. At least for most of the reports in this thread. Email [email protected] over the weekend and I'll hook you up with a file to replace that should sort this, provided you have an OD subscription. Kris
The sync hadn't quite finished I think. Should be fine now.
This is an interesting one in that nobody's mentioned that as being a problem before. The 2 files in question don't appear to be coming with Vista by default, which is why we're supplying the older ones that we've used with Stardock Central for years. <FO
This should be corrected now. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. :)
I've reset it.
I've fixed it up. Sync problem we missed when restoring some backups last night.
Install the Dreams submodule and that'll be sorted. Not sure why that one got moved to the main install rather than the module, as its the module that handles the activation for it.
A future update may include an option to generate preview screenshots. We've played with something internally, but it's not scheduled for the next month or two at least.
Emails with serial numbers and download links for customers who purchased CursorXP in the last 2 months will go out later this week. They have not gone out yet and won't tonight.
