I want to kill the sound when listening to music or baseball on the web if the phone rings or when commercials come on baseball games. I had in mind to make a dock button if I could find the command that would toggle Mute All
Is there a way to make a Mute shortcut / button that would be the equivalent of checking the Mute All box in sndvol32.exe? What I want is a mute toggle. The only command parameters I can find are: /tray or /t for systray version /r for Recording volume /s for Small display Maybe there's another way to approach it...

Personally I'd go with the uninstall / reinstall using SDC. You can always save the one you have now & compare it with the the clean copy to get an idea... I'll stop now

Hippie: To save the Right Click menu, make the desired changes & - Exit RC. Exiting saves the changes. It's OK to restart RC before doing the rest: - Go to RC program directory & create a new folder named Backup (or whatever similar) - Add copies of the following files to the Backup folder: RightClick.ini desktopmenu.obbar - If RC crashes & the menu is lost, copy the files from Backup to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\RightClick\ <

Ummm, I'm sure you already tried, but I just grab the side of the menu with the cursor & drag it to the width I want-- don't know if it would work with side-by-side items-- don't remember having them

Sucked in again...
I spend hours doing almost imperceptible tweaks on my PC when I could be doing something constructive like skinning (or house-cleaning even). It's especially fun while listening to MLB Audio. OK-- uninstalled 5.01j(b).014 & restored 5.01i(b).013 Now I have to do 3 or 4 rounds of not using the mouse for 15-20 minutes & see if the cursor moves when I come back to it

The storm will have been 2 weeks ago tomorrow (or Sunday-- can't remember). So far, I'm not having any other trouble, though I'm sure there are plenty of possiblilties that I haven't hit on yet. Why would I start having mouse trouble now instead of soon after the storm?
I'm almost positive that it came through the phone-- I heard a little phfttt noise when it happened. Several things were plugged into the same surge protector* as the old modem, but nothing else quit working. When the new modem came in, I tried the old DSL cable & it didn't work any more-- pretty good evidence but not conclusive. Still, if it came in through the phone, I'm sure it could jump around after it got here. * which, in turn, is plugged into a UPS
A definite possibility. Moving the DSL modem hasn't taken care of it...
