Quite simply put: it would be too much of a fuckfest and nobody would want to play because of that. Not everything in this world will benefit from being an MMO. I don't see why some people can't learn this. Marketing a game in that venue isn't very profitable due to the exceedingly large market share that WOW has.

Fix your site. You boys have old site content overlapping with new site content. Navigating around, I got stuck at a point where it kept telling that the ability of free users to log in was put on hold. :-X
How the hell do you get this? The download portion never works.
news flash: they do not care about us.
Then why waste your time posting on here, son? Go away. Besides, this game is best LANed. I wouldn't play it online when most of my games are pushing 4-6 hours.
Where do you edit it to force it to use, say, the TGA format, then? I've already been down the window specific race files, but their all set to use DDS, but yet, if I remove the TGA already, it fubars the display of portraits when I remove the one DDS format.
Why do some of the mods I've seen have a Player_Portrait_Large in both TGA and DDS format? If there is any way, how do I get it to use one and not both? Seems redundant to have both when they both have the same content.
Dunno. I run fine. The number of planets seem to be a cause for more issues than number of ships for me.
And how big are the maps you play in?
They make for some great screen shots too.
And that justifies the lack of any plausible gameplay... how? I'm not saying less is more, but with the right balance of the two and proper scaling of ships for quality will equal something closer to what you want out of the game.
Large fleets and ships in the hundreds are only good for lolz. That's why I reduced the fleet supply in my games. I can play 75-100 planet games with 9 players with reasonable amount of late game lag (usually go 2 and half hours before any noticeable lag kicks in). Granted, I have numerous other tweaks on, but you get my point (and all I'm using is distant stars with a transparent hud, no other inbuilt mods besides what's there). Works well in my LAN games.
Quoting Stant123, reply 4410 They can do that?!?!? Lord have mercy!
That's nothing, I've seen pirates raids in the hundreds and in the thousands on the pirate world during the course of a game. Keep in mind, my game has fleet supply scaled to 1000 to keep the lag down. :-X Of course, that was before I scaled the cap ships/cruisers (for quality), slot counts (some), and raid info. Sti
I help run a forum that has been as large as over 300,000 members (at one point). Trust me, I see my fair share of flaming and trolling. It doesn't take much for people to find something to bitch about.
There is a quick and dirty way of doing this (at least, using distant stars), you can make a moon class planet of the type you want and just have the position of it so it overlaps with the other gravity well. Ships can move back and forth with each one. Each will count as a different planet and have their own stats and such. Of course, you'd have to place it using the Forge, but it's possible. I normally play randomized maps and this came up once or twice before.
Interesting every count I do of the lines no matter the version I always get 7112. As Stant mentioned if there is an error in the string file it wont cause any crashes but would report an error to the log files I've not personally had any with quite a few hours of testing.
Keep getting a minidump when i activate the full version u sure this is compatible with 1.19 f.
Could be because the string count is off (not a guarentee, could be a miilion different things). All I applied was the patch, not redownload the whole thing.
Your string count if off again. You've got 7112, but you should be having 7217. I don't know if it's causing any bugs (at least from what I've seen so far), but you're gonna wanna fix that.
I was doing my usual changes for my LAN group, and I noticed that the gunships had no description entry. Your string file is off by 5 strings. It should read 7110, not 7105. That fixed the problem.

The boys over at Fallout 3 Nexus made up a mod to address the issue of hitting the 2gb limit or similiar issue. (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6510). Is it possible to adapt this over for Sins to aid the game in going over that limit?
