He's being pragmatic, not ignoring you monusen. As the company probably doesn't know the precise way to go about this, its best they keep things close to their chest. WB4 works fine with Avid btw It does for me. Same goes for Adobe products, I used to have to exclude them all. Not anymore I'm pleas

Some users have issues with DX saving data in the registry. I know I do for example. I can't use Core Weather because of this and its really annoying, it works fine in work as does ND. Right clicking and &#115electing Autorun adds a shortcut to My Computer in the startup folder for no reason > instead of creating a proper .exe link to ND. You have to manually create the shortcut yourself if you wa

One thing I have noticed, I can't believe how much CPU this uses when there is Light Drizzle (which to be fair is Manchester 99% of the time). 50% on a 2.4HT P4 (my work PC again). At least the animation of Light Drizzle with its rainbow is far nicer than the real thing Any chance this can be lowered? I'm not always using full screen apps to hide the desktop, but at least DX does have the ability

Posted this in another thread but may be better read here.. A while ago it was mentioned that you will be able to add your own walls. Hopefully we can catergorize them into the Spring, Summer etc, Morning, Evening way the set currently uses. Also, I replaced the 1152x864 with the full 1600x1200 versions of the walls, and the quality increase is incredible.

Definately intrigued by Web Explorer, that could help a lot in work as we have to use it for some dev and tabbing would be nice As to WB supporting Alpha borders, if you can do it and have the man power it would be a great ability to show off. Even if the caveat is that you HAVE to have high end graphics, then it at least gives those who have something new to play with.

I really like the idea of this, and I have bought it. But I run at 1600x1200 and the walls aren't good at that res. Which means I can use it at work (only 1280x1024 there) but that's not where I really want to. Please get the larger res versions from Digital Blasphemy, I know he usually withholds the 1600+ versions for his member gallery, but I hope something can be worked out.

Damn, can't edit. One thing I have now noticed. I ran the .EXE widget and closed it using the "X" button you added. The location is now staying in the dxobject I imported from it. Are you saving to the registry on exit? I'll leave the widget running then just shut down at night, if it hasn't reset when I turn the PC on once I'm back from work then I imagine that is the issue. As I used it as an import from the .EXE and you cannot close that through the "X" I don't think the

I'm running SP2. I don't know why it's doing it at all as I don't have any registry protection programs running. I don't believe AVG 7 Pro could cause it and thats the closest I have to that sort of program. Great widget by the way mormegil, thanks.

One complaint I have are the wall resolutions, at 1600x1200 they look terrible, especially the Digital Blasphemy text. After a period of use of the sneak peak, I really hope some of the change's goodmorphing mentioned can be intergrated.

I'm having one issue with the Core Weather. I've imported it as an Object and it's fine while the PC is running. After I turn the PC back on after say 8 hours or so, it has reset itself all to defaults. I noticed the widget.exe version did the same for me. Is there a work around?

Well, bought it, so I hope it works properly. Fingers crossed. Wow, I'm impressed. Only 1% CPU. As with everyone else, not sure about the wall. But otherwise, very nice. I hope it's development continues apace Also, how would it react to being imported into DX2? A good idea or not? [Message Edited]

Probably best to run then in DX2. To import, bring up the DX2 control panel, and from the Control Meni at the bottom, &#115elect 'Import'. Point it at the weather .exe widget.

Thanks for updating the DX download Don't mean to sound ungrateful, but please release or include 'The Weather' widget as an object As I'm running DX I'd rather not run another .exe and its a fantastic widget.
