When you say 'velocity' do you mean specifically related to an actual clock function? eg. hours, minutes, seconds. If not then what you need to do is adjust the rotation timer. The higher the number will slow it down. As I played around with this some more, I'm not sure if I made any substantial changes. Anyhoo you can get two new versions. The second one is an example of using multiple objects in the rotation. Download here --->>>> <a href="http://www.sendspace.com/fi

Not sure what you have in mind but DX has a built in script to rotate hours, minutes and seconds. It's called analog clock 3 Yeah, if the objects are specifically time related then Murex's suggestion is by far the easiest way to go.

Java My RAM just screamed out in agony. Correct me if I'm wrong but, both c# and Java are programming languages not scripting per say? Both of which have lot's of development tools/compilers. Not to mention the fact that DesktopX is a "scripting" platform. I think it's more prudent to stick to web friendly languages. Just my two cents.

This subject seems to pop up on a regular basis. There's lot's of different things you can do. In fact there are some amazing 'What are You Working On' threads. Lately the big and I think positive push amongst DXr's has been towards building more development resources to help others in creating their own widgets. A great starting place is in the DesktopX Tutorials Forum. From a developer perspective I think the issue is mostly time vs rewards. While accolades are nice, some gre

I use a lot of TEST text objects when im debugging code, make test1.text test2.text etc.. and put them on the desktop and pass things like "made it this far, var1=.." so i can see what DX is doing. Yeah, things do tend to get a little messy when you get going on a project. I added an addin folder under my object development folder which has helped considerably. I'm tracking some of my projects from start to finish using Todolist which has lead

That makes perfect sense. Really I should be using msgbox constants then that would eliminate potential looping issues. I like your idea better because it is more for a demo purpose anyway. Thanks.

Ok. First, I'd like to say sorry to sviz as I sent this to him & it was probably discombobulated. Create a new object & drop this whole script in it. Then drag one (only one) shortcut on to it to see how the FSO parses it. [code="vbscript"] Sub Object_OnDropFiles(files) '--Call shell & FSO object Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") '--Uses the CreateShortcut Method to retrieve the target Path(s) of the

Nice work on the graphics. Though as a whole it's not anything new and most of these elements exist elsewhere...very hard to protect this under intellectual copyrights. All of what you describe is do-able in DesktopX I think and I recall a circular launcher described in the forums. Orbit is the circular launcher you're talking about.
