Chaos, I believe you'll need to parse the list to get each filename. Nice script Carl[c242]. You could eliminate the OnScriptEnter sub & update the tooltip text using GetFolder("foldername") or GetParent? within the function. I think something like this: Dim fName: Set fName = fso.GetFolder(foldername) DesktopX.Object("myobject").Tooltip Text = "ListDir" & fName

Yes, I saw/tried that. It's more reflective of scripting elements with the confines of a group. Scripting rotation at 90 per element essential results in no change. I'll continue working on that basis but, using that specific example results in increased coding.
This is the image. Didn't want to mess up the code.
Is there anyway to script a group collectively? This is what I'm working on. Each piece is made up of four blocks that are cloned then grouped together. Using the "I" piece as example: I0_0 is set as the parent I1_ I2_ I3_ Group is set to shapeI_0 for each item. First cloned piece is I0_1 I1_1 I2
This ones even harder to catch & drop a picture on. Lot's of fun. It's got me thinking again about the dx's ability for some simple games like pong, air hockey, snake, etc.
 Hillarious. Should try them with one of Mouserunner's Smiley's . Edit: Of course my lazy @ss prefers to drag & drop. So, add this to the bottom of the script for easy changing. 'Drop random files for more fun. Sub Object_OnDropFiles(files) Object.picture = files End Sub
Again, sorry for the delay. Think I've finally got this infection beat. Automan, I'm not sure if or where I found it. Naturally, I assumed it was one of Martin's scripts. However, I haven't found it in the library. It's a big blue arrow. Edit: Found it. Some times the simplest search term is easier ("Hide") Called <a href="https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx
Look for DX Textbox object by Thomas Thomassen. Get the second version as (I believe) he has an option for numeric only in the script. Sorry can't be of more help at the moment. Still fixing my registry. Edit: Oops! Saw you've got your answer in the other forum. Sorry 'bout that.
After 7days, 7nights, 14 pots of coffee dealing with my first malware problem...Thanks for the story. I feel much better now!
Thanks Guys. Sorry, for the delay had a major system crash (worst yet) and had to wait on Dell to send my CD. The actual object I based mine on is called Hiding Menu and I'm not sure if I picked it up here or at a dx user/developer's site.
This is a work in progress so, be gentle. I was at a website last week when it occured to me a smoother mouse over transition could be had be scripting image settings to a timer. Complete script will be at the end of this post. First, we start with a basic red object: Next we set up the hue settings When we load the object the colour would then be: <img src="http://i10.tin
Nicely Done.
Thanks. I'm trying to do as much in DxScript;so, people can see how easy they can be set up. You should see some of the ones I've got going now. Borrowing from the Families/Sex script & some of the snowflakes scripts. It bursts into a bunch of stars that fly off in all random directions.
sound *ruff* j/k basically you want a resizable menu that show on mouse over. Check out RomanDA's tutorials they sh0uld help
I feel all warm & fuzzy inside...no wait that's dizzy & nautious.
Once they open the door for this reason you know it's going to be used elsewhere. A number of times individuals have given DNA samples to rule themselves out as suspects then that has come back to bite them on the ass later. Because they catalog it. The children part is a nice ploy because it tugs at people's greatest fears; however, does anybody think that if what happened in Russia at that school ever happened hear that people wouldn't re
Thanks. We all start somewhere. Trying to teach myself javascript but, keep going back to vbscript since I have more experience with VBA with MS Office. Speaking for myself I'm trying to do as much using just dxscript to show how powerful the internal engine is. I've added a few more scripts to the wiki . And look for a more advance "Starburst Effect" within the next week or so.
I've added a couple new effects to the wiki. Link Enjoy
Ok. Thanks for the quick response. I need all the help I can get. You're still meaning the wiki?
I checked that out & joined the last time someone mentioned. Whether I'm too lazy (most likely) or too busy I meant to post a bunch of scripts there. Many aren't commented well and I want to make things simpler for those who are just starting out. Noticed that most have a tutorial type of format & my submittals may be more of a "script repository" type of post.
Nice script. Was working on something similar to create a progress bar script. Got distracted working on other projects. I'll have to see if this can work with that.
Yeah, I see what you mean. Haven't used this script myself nor looked indepth at it. A temp fix would be like Cyberium said or using an animation of some sorts?
Search for SpinButton under desktopX Objects. Is that what you're looking for?
If you look closely you'll notice this is a minor variation of one of Roman's tutorials. Will obviously need some tweaking based on your settings. I tested it with a simple 1px white tile. It grows & moves at the same time giving a zoom appearance. Had one effect actually arcing like it was popping out. Lost it in a dx crash unfortunately. Dim MinW,MaxW MinW = 48 MaxW = 256 MinH = 48 'This line is in here for future reference. Not functional in this script MaxH = 25
Good suggestions silkshadow. I'm a big fan of AveDesk and especially with AveScripter and SysStats (Which is open source now). Fairly comfortable in creating desklets & configs. Really it comes down to a few choices. Are you interested in changing your system based on what is out there or flexibility in creating/implementing your own ideas. I bought DX Pro with the long range goal of making/selling gadgets. If you're familiar with VBA programming in MS Office then it is relati
