i disagree with avoiding it that much in one game the yor conclave were about to crush my empire unltil i gave them a couple reasearches then they decided not to kill me but then again only use it in times of great need and if your going to mess around with diplomancy save beforehand because clicking on the wrong thing will cause a crash of the game

yeah i know that you can save designs while building ships in game what i was thinking of was a seprate gamemode where all you do i have all the technologies already reasearched so that you can build any ship that you want (or you can have some of the technologies not reasearched so that you could build ships for early game and mid game)

Hey this is just something that i came up with i dont know if anyone else has suggested anything like this before but i thinkt that it would be a cool thing to implement to me the shipbuilding in Gal Civ 2 is extremely fun but you have to go through hours of the game before you can finally get to building the huge mega capital ships and for most of the time in the begining all you can do is make fighters with the small and tiny chasis or just use a cargo hull for an early capital shi

you could also have it that the bigger the colony the more time it takes to destroy so that a level 27 planet with tons of structures would take too long to destroy before the computer gets there anyways so you might as well try to defend it

hmmm but should there be a size limit on what you can destroy? i mean if you invade a 27 computer planet realize that you cant keep it so instead of letting the computer take it again you then destroy it and leave seems kinda cheap to me. Unless the computer can be able to do that as well but that would get kinda annoying when you have to rebuild your entire planet over again specailly if its that big

hey i dont know if it would be too late to implement this but this is just my thought so far in the gal civ2 betas putting on an engine on any type of ship or hull will make that ship move forward a set number of spaces reguardless if it is a huge cargo hull or a tiny fighter this dosnt make sense to me because since you can fit more engines on a huge cargo hull than on a fighter you will have your cargo hulls going faster than your small fighters which really dosnt make s

we know the stars but we have no clue about the planets. the stars emit so much light and radiation that we cannot see any planets (thats why we have to look at the gravity disturbances... which tell us were the big gas giants are mainly) so haveing the star visable is a good game play mechanic and real in real life

while flipping through the population economy and military graphs at the beggining of the game (i was about 10-20 turns in) i noticed that some of the lines went off the graph which makes it very hard to compare besides the fact that if the lines go through the bottom edge there below you and if the lines go through the top edge the are above you

alright you know how when you double click on a planet that screen shows up with a map of the planet and all the areas that are on it? and that when you click on an area inside that map that on the bottom it identifies the area as desert or ocean or praier ect? well on some of my planets on the map of the planet it shows an ocean but the computer tells me at the bottom that it is a desert dosnt really seem to affect gameplay at all just kinda werid that i

if u want a comp with a lot of power for less making your own compuer is the way to go however you usually wont get as much bundeled software with this route and unless you pirate the software costs might end up going up right now im satisfied with my refurbished dell computer that was a good cost effective route and it got me alot of things just remeber that refurbished dell dont come with monitors (unless u choose to buy a refurbished monitor with the ref

i agree with lucky jack on the killer fleets granted there should be some sort of limit on the total amount of units that can be built so that the end game dosnt become one massive unit spral (my only disappointment with civ 3 was that the endgame in a conquest victory usually meant 10 minute turns moving 100s of units across the board) but that should not limit on how many ships you can put into one fleet
