just get gal civ 2 and you wont have to worry bout buying another strategy game for a long time plus Homeworld 2 is such an amazingly better game than this, really if you want a good RTS space game get it instead of EAW there is really no comparison
Civ3Fanatic
offtopic but how do u get 2.4 children?
or you could have already known all the techs that your allies had
lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of coffee or at least that is what i would use
thing with destabilizing is that it is hard to balance out, lets say your playing on a huge galaxy with all civs in it and for some reason you make all of them or maybe just 3 or 4 really made at you and they decide to put destabilization money all on max one turn later your whole empire is revolting and planets are switching sides left and right, not a good way to make a fun game in any respect
according to the devs everything should be balanced out now so the game should play much better
anotrher good game that i am looking forward to along with spore but right now this is all my gameing world needs... these next couple of days are oging to pass excruciatingly slow...
lol but really if the developers have any spare time after there long vacations a DVD commentary would be amazingly cool even if it was just a short 15 minute thing posted on the site
i think that if theres a common enemy the computer players will start to get more cooporative and begin to trade weapons tech and stuff to players against there enemies so that they can be able to survive at least tat is what i think happened in here https://www.galciv2.com/Journals.aspx
for me i got the 600 700 range really good job
kinda offtopic but in the video you said that you rotated the game by holding down the middle mouse button now i only have the left right setup so how do i get that control that you had with the rotation?

u know ur not helping in fact ur making the wait more unbearble but thanks for the more info
dunno demo of SW EAW was nothing special and to me i didnt really liked the gameplay too much, imho rise of nations still beats the next crop of RTS's including SW EAW but the thing bout demos is that they tend to not give justice to how good the game can be since well, there just small demos kinda like beta V will never give justice to the full version so id go with GalCiv2 just because u get stuff from preordering, you know its good, and there is nothing that stops you from buying
alright going to do this again since the forums kinda screwed up downloaded the game files fine but when i tried to download the tutorials and movies i got this message -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Name: Stardock Central Path: C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral Version: 2.24a[b].182, build: 113 -- [System Information] --------------------------------------------- Platform: Microsoft Windows Windows XP, 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2
mmm... sever juice... fresh from the farm!
i think that it is kinda funny that having no copy protection will actually get more money to the company than having copy protection but hey it makes snese when u c the logic behind it
no there is no giving yourself a negative to boost other areas, that would be really hard to balance specially if someone gives themselves negatives in everything but economics and production and before you know it they have colonized nearly 3/4 of the galaxy in the begining simply becuase there production allows them to mass produce colony ships while there economy allows them to reamin profitable enough to support a ton of colonies in the begining there would also be many other way
I ended up cracking that game myself so that I could just play the thing. lol those illegal pirates have finally done something useful for the industry, finding a way to make sure that the people who bought the game dont have to deal with that crud
Also, you will not be able to mod terror stars. You will have to wait until we develop them i think thats a challenge to the mod comunity to put them in before the devs deveolpe them
throw in some play be email or lan those are the only times that i play 4x strategy games with multiplayer and ill admit the lan is definently fun though really long to complete however i dont think that stardock should waste money building servers and having an internet multiplayer because this game just wouldnt do well on an interent multiplayer, its design is too fucused on single player for there to be any money spent on an interent multiplayer that will probably be tried once an
hey i dont mind *wipes out whole galaxies with uberunstoppable mega ships*
No he would definitly not be the best reviewer, though the fact he was able to be sucked into the game so quickly definitly helps it out. However, I think he is far more indicitive of todays most active gamers and what they've cut their teeth on. yeah its a shame u make a cookie cutter RTS or sports game and you make tons of money and sell tons
sounds like a smart way to do it the only promblem is that now those indi game developers have to try and figure out how to design a software product that lots of people or businesses need, after they did nothign but games for years. i think that it would probably be a very hard transition to say the least.
actually it is titled tutorial videos www.ugo.com/channels/games/gallery.asp?img=60&gallery=galacticcivilizations2_games so yeah there will definently be tutorials but they just didnt send them in the preview package, which i think that they should be sent just so people get the impression that there is no tutorials
