Support for importing at least the backgrounds of both of these will be in a future build of LogonStudio Vista. It will probably not be possible to import much more, though we'll keep it in mind.

Stardock Central is the uninstaller exe. It just happens to be the uninstaller for other things as well. If it doesn't work, you have just the same options as if the uninstaller for another program didn't work - you can delete the folder, or try to reinstall another version over the top. You could also try running the ODNT Zapper - it will probably need to be run in administrative mode. I cannot guarantee that any of these will

Note that LogonStudio Vista is not designed to work with pre-release versions of Windows Vista. Using Vista RC1 has been the cause behind both "it doesn't work" errors that I know of.

16x is "higher quality" (and so lower speed) than 2x. Dial all the numbers down. It's probably best to keep TnL on, if your hardware supports it then you shouldn't take too much of a hit.

It will work. We've just not gotten out a version that does work, because our release staff is all overburdened with releases. I'm sorry. :/ For now, right-click the shortcut to Natural Desktop, go to Properties, click the Commpatibility tab and and select to run the application in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2). That should do it.

Yes, the Vista start menu still has the search section and buttons. Most skins work surprisingly well considering the start panel is actually quite a bit different now. Vista icons are "special" (they embed 256x256 PNG images for the largest size) and you will need an appropriate tool to deal with them. Unfortunately it seems our own IconDeveloper is not yet ready for this - until it does, you'll have use a trial of an icon program that does support them, like <a href="http://www.axiali

EMH2006: I'm afraid the problem is that you live in Norway! The commas you use as decimal separators are getting stuck in Microsoft's scripting engine, which expects fully round decimal separators. We should have an update out for this as soon as possible - hopefully tomorrow. Many apologies to you and to our other loyal comma-using customers for your inconvenience!

My guess would be a faulty plugin. IE shouldn't be crashing because it loads a site. Likewise, it shouldn't be possible for a site to crash a browser (just as it shouldn't be possible for a program to crash your entire computer). If it is, there's a problem with the controlling system - in this case, the browser or more likely the third-party plugins to it. Maybe try an updated flash player

Speaking unofficially here . . . ObjectBar itself seems to work for the most part, but the version of DesktopX that is packaged with it does not work. Therefore, themes that make use of the DesktopX plugin embedding feature will not work. I would imagine that this would be fixed in a later release for Vista.

You use the "Archive and restore" functionality built into Stardock Central. Check it out in the help, but in short, right-click on the component you want to copy across and then select to archive it. Archives tend to be stored in Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\BACKUP - you can copy them to the other machine along with a Stardock Central installer, install Stardock Central, and then restore the archives.
