The icon is no longer there because the executable that handled it (wbload.exe) is no longer loaded. It will make a return in the future. Oh, and the system tray is technically called the "system notification area", only nobody actually calls it that.

Yeah, but you'd feel real stupid if you didn't take its advice and then lost.

*sighs* - There was a problem with a recent update and I guess they didn't update the full file yet. Hi guys. There is an update on Stardock Central that should fix the problem, which appears to have been caused by a corrupt standalone installer. sumantaya - when WindowBlinds 5 is officially released, you will be able to get it via Stardock Central, or probably as a download link as well. Right now it is only available to Object Desktop subscribers (who tend to have a higher tolerance for potential problems in beta versions).

Ok, done that, put the serial into SDC.. but I can't download WB5, it doesn't offer a download button, or an update button next to WB4.. Just "Run" next to both.. Is "Show pre-release versions" on in the View menu? If not, you will not be able to see betas.

You can stop waiting now. Well, unless you have a slow connection. NVIDIA 4xxx and (probably) 5xxx users, there are some problems with the alpha support on those cards which may lead to what looks like overexposure; a related problem is that cliking on the titlebars may not work correctly unless you click on the text. ATI users shoud have no problems.
