Surely that would be another function on the outhouse? As an aside, I find it annoying that cleanmgr always tries to compress files. Maybe that worked when there were, like, 10,000 files on disk. No longer. And yes, I know you can disable it, but most people don't.
If you can figure out what is doing it, let us know. We had another guy with exactly that problem. Natural Desktop is changing the wallpaper, but Explorer isn't reloading it for some reason. You've not got Active Desktop on, by any chance? Anything else that could be affecting Explorer?
Do you have the latest version from Stardock Central, 1.50c? Tried doing a full uninstall and reinstall?
Yes, the object movement on restart is a little annoying. Hoping to get a fix for that in the underlying platform (DesktopX), as it should be saving them . . . Zubaz: There should be a a reset script in the pet's app folder, if you need to.
Actually, one of my earliest thoughts was to make it travel between computers. I think it would be a little over the top for a DesktopX gadget, though. Maybe someday.

Well wow, maybe that's so that people who speak Japanese can use them. If you are unable to do so, I would suggest that you use the english library instead.
I highly suspect that this will change by the time it comes around. If it affects anyone, it is likely to affect users of the original XP Home, and perhaps SP1 users. Those that patch to SP2 should be fine. Given the great similarity between Home and Pro, I think it would be unreasonable for Microsoft not to offer similar levels of support for as long as Pro has it. The trouble with that is of course that people will play it for 10 minutes and then close it and re-open it again. It would be possible to save it, of course, but such things tend to be easy to work around. Ultimately, you have to look at what it is costing you - about as much as a good pizza for one (or a crappy one for two <img src="http://images.stardock.
As a workaround, please launch the Desktop Pet *before* IconX, as this appears to let the two co-exist. I have forwarded the issue to the IconX developer for further consideration. Thanks again!

We want to do more characters and items as well, but as I mentioned above, we have limisted resources . . . we have to make sure there's a market for upgrades and addons first, so get your friends to grab a copy and we'll see what happens. <img

Also, when you say "it", what do you mean? The cursor? The object? If the cursor, do you have any cursor-modifying software installed? You could try renaming the hand.cur file in the DesktopPet\SDPlugins folder to Hand.cur.bak and see if that helps.
It's when you press the windows key and D at the same time to show the desktop. The trouble is, the way Explorer does this is just to put the desktop background window on top of everything else . . . including DesktopX's destkop.
Mr Edivion: That's an odd one. Are you using Winkey+D or Show Desktop to go to the desktop? That can interfere with it because of how DesktopX (and explorer's Show Desktop) works. If that's the problem, try Winkey+M instead.
