roscoe: I was trying to match the colour scheme of the other GalCiv websites. It seems quite likely that there will be a lot of screenshots and the like that are in dark colours as well, and my worry is that they will not show up as nicely on a white website. I ran the current site through a colour blindness filter and it seemed to do OK. The three kinds of link could be distinguished through br

You can use the information that would be reasonably regarded as "fair use". Thus, short descriptions of races. technology quotations, etc. If there is a long source of information online (such as an article on the history of the Arnor) it would probably be more appropriate to link to it instead.

The GalCiv Wiki is hosted on Wikicities , which is a company set up by the same people who founded Wikipedia . The wikis on Wikicities are community-owned, so although right now I'm the only person with admin access, once we get a few strong contributors I intend to delegate admin power to them so that they can handle the day-to-day running of the site. Of course, just saying it's leaking memory doesn't help much . . . is there any particular point at which you notice GalCiv II leaking memory? If you can isolate it, we can fix it. If not, it makes it that much harder. Oh, and lockups are more likely to be something overheating, which is technically a hardware problem but which might be helped with the next patch that limits frame rates.<img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/sm

It is not perfectly realistic. In real life you would have a guns verses butter situation , with diminishing returns for ever-higher levels of focus due to marginal costs (the opportunity cost is not the same at each level of production). Of course, that is less fun, because it means the player has less control over their race.

Well, if you try the serial emailer at https://www.stardock.com/support/ you should know if your order has gone through. I don't think it will take your money and not give you a serial - and if it did, I'm sure sales could sort it. As for if it's in the queue, I do not know that there is any public interface to that. Not my area.

If you get two serial numbers, yes . . . and if you give him access to your account, which opens up a whole can of worms. I would recommend you talk to [email protected] and ask them to sort it out for you. Unfortunately gift purchases were one of the things that the web team could not get into the schedule (I think it was either that or PayPal suppo

I think everything that needs to be said has been said here. The development team is working on fixing the problems that have been reported. Your posts are being read, if not always responded to. The updates will be out when we can get them out. Half of the rest of the staff has been busy packing boxes to make sure that people who bought the game get what's coming to them (in the good sense).
