Essencay: Just click the snowman! There is a maximum flakes setting, along with others. As for inside the script, the max flakes setting is MAX_FLAKES, the current level is CurrentFlakes, and the target level (what it's working its way up/down to) is TargetFlakes.

Well, you could click the snowman and turn max flakes down to zero, delete the object or just make a new theme. They won't last beyond that. Or go to C:\Documents and Settings\{your username here}\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme and kill the files starting with "{FAAB1BF4 . . .". That should do it. May be C:\Program Files\Stardo
It was a pleasure! I see a lot of scripts out there and it's just depressing sometimes how easy it would be to make them better, especially given the quality of the artwork displayed. Anything I can do to help that is well worth my time when you consider how many users are trying DesktopX nowdays - a little bit of knowledge and a few examples can go a long way.
The script described in the article below is available for use in free DesktopX objects - see the snowman's script for details. This is really as much an article on what mistakes to avoid as it is an article on creating flakes - if you just want to see the end result, skip to the end (or try clicking this link to get to the object). As WinCustomize is having a pr
Have you tried changing the Mozilla skin? I understood that the bouncing was as much due to odd Firefox skins as it was WindowBlinds, but I could be mistaken. Classic works fine here for me, but I'm on Blackcomb.
Try clearing out your browser cache? On IE, Tools/Internet Settings/Delete Files... Also not using WB 4.0 would be a help - considered upgrading? If you're a trial user or registred user, upgrades are free via the website - https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/downloads.asp . . . ODNT users need to renew to get access to their updates via SDC.
At least that was one of the more innocuous misspellings.
Well, the DXPlayer widget has had major overhauls, it now does iTunes and has better Winamp support, and even uses WMP internally so you don't need a media player ( read more ). That sort of thing is getting more attention, believe me.
Uh . . . you have to include a copy of the anim.dll that is included in the WindowBlinds distribution. Just using a blank file named "anim.dll" won't do it. The anim.dll file reads the settings you have made for the skin and moves the frame on as specified by the UIS2 titlebar animation settings.
I guess it's a good thing Brad had a Drengin slave-pit and treadmill setup in his basement (next to the abandoned salt mines). He never has to worry about running out of power at home! Apparently Cari has Ty ( https://www.stardock.com/products/lwninja/ ), but it's not the same - those short legs just don't get up enough speed to power an Athlon64, let alone those fancy new graphics cards . . . You can use a money order - https://www.stardock.com/order.txt - but perhaps the easiest way would be just to pay someone who does have one to do it for you.
Except it's now night-time . . . (especially in Michigan )
My understanding is that everyone was playing HL2 and the combined draw from the graphics cards blew a fuse, but I may not have it exactly right.
There appears to have been a power cut at Stardock HQ. IRC and support services may be down, however Stardock Central should still be accessible. Hopefully this will be a short state of affairs (the cut, not the accessibility ). [Message Edited]
I think it's a great idea. The French people will laugh. Then they will buy more shirts. Capitalism at its finest!
There's a huge, huge amount of wasted space at the top right of every page. For people who don't see ads, why not fill it with something a little more useful? Maybe a quick summary of new comments on their skins, or on forum threads they were following, etc?
Well, I'll still be using 2.92 until I find something better!
Here, I say it. Is it true now? Yes, Windows SP2 includes a feature which "sniffs" the format of files, and may therefore decide that a file is a .zip file. This is a problem when WindowBlinds relies on skins being .wba to automatically execute them.
Yeah, it should be there just fine. Either something's blocking it or your install has messed up. Uninstalling and reinstalling after a reboot may be a best approach (move your skin directories out first), although if you can run: regsvr32 "c:\program files\stardock\object desktop\windowblinds\wbui.dll" in start/run, it may be worth trying that.
I have to say, be careful about what you exclude ports from. For competitions based on "best original skin", it's fair enough, but if it comes top in (say) a competition for the most downloads then a port should rightly be honoured for that - otherwise the "port" tag will just turn into a second-class designator.
The official line is that as long as programs are in use only by one person at a time, then it is fine to have them installed on a reasonable number of computers, such as your work, home and laptop ones. Practically speaking, I suspect it is OK to do what you want and use a copy on your kid's PC, as it's keeping it in the immediate family. Sharing that copy with your friendly neighbour would not be so OK. Follow your conscience on this one. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/sm
That's something I've wanted ever since I saw it, too.
Shadow: Nothing's stopping you getting an account and posting your own view. And at least now you know it exists. Why not try it and see how it matches up?
OK. Note that the default for future versions will probably be that it will not load ObjectMedia by itself - you will have to do this yourself either by running its shortcut, or by making a DXPlayer object calling the ObjectMedia function and clicking it.
