Must you? Yeah, alpha-blending is nice. I'd just like to see it in WB borders. That would be cool with a big K (like that breakfast cereal people worship).

Come off it. I don't really care if you're saying "oh, this is in fact someone else's stuff, I'm just using it", or you're claiming it's your own work. It's *still* theft. It's using someone's work in a way they may not have intended. I'd certainly get really pissed if someone took my skins and ported them to, say, .msstyles, without asking. You have to exclude the executable vplus.exe, as well as icq.exe. Go to the WindowBlinds configuration panel (click WindowBlinds in display properties), select Per Application, Add per app setting, and add vplus.exe.

Start with a skin you like. Then find a bit you want to change. Look at the skin file, at how that section is defined in relation to the others. Then change one thing about it. If that works, try changing something bigger (like the bitmap). If it looks incorrect, try and figure out why (and fix it) before you move on to some other bit. Keep going - eventually you'll have a whole skin of your own. This is probably the best way to make your first skin. For the second, it might be better t

If you meant new drivers worked, great! If the slider trick worked, for best performance, move it as far to the right as you can without the problems returning - this should help reduce any performance hit.

Check your video card drivers - if they're old, that may be the cause of the problem (check by going to Control Panel/Display Properties/Settings/Advanced... and moving the accelleration slider to the left).

Sorry to have to say it, but I think that the fragmentation of the skin community that once was (judging by reports - I never really experienced it) is going to continue. Moreover, I think it was inevitable. This may be because the files have not been overwritten, or because some temporary files have remained. Delete the skin (you might want to check that it's actually gone from the WindowBlinds directory) and then reload it from the wba. You may also need to restart WindowBlinds.

What's actually the problem with this? If you want to save files, right-click and save as, but for most instances, people who click on skin archives in IE want them to be installed, so that's what WB does. Saves on people going "so what do I *do* with these?"

Go into Display Properties/Appearance (and then, on XP, Advanced/Other Advanced Controls). Click the image of the active titlebar on the dialog that appears and reduce it's size a few points with the controls below the image.

I don't know of any way you can, currently. I'm not sure I'd personally want it to be, anyway (if your WB skin causes each window to crash, you'd *really* like to be able to bring up the WinSec panel without having it skin, right? *g*) Of course, I might be proven wrong in the next ODNT update.
