I think that in vastnes of space having good sensors and detection systems is of the great importance, as well as cloaking devices. So battles could resemble to those of submarines. And when two big fleets meet, that would look more like sea battle

That is good, along with what I said before (about different tech levels overal, like prehistoric/medieval/pre-industrial civs.)

This is not GALACTIC event (It does not effect whole galaxy) but I don't know if it was in GC1: Huge comet (random_name) heading for our colony (colony_name) Possible options: 1) Dispatch starships to intercept comet (Chance that fragmets will hit colony anyway, and it's expensive, depends on planet defences) 2) Evacuate most of the planet (not as expensive but big infrastructure damage) 3) Evacuate only ground zero (causes dissident among your planets in empire but

Well diferences between aliens are just too vast. Assimilation would be possible only in certain cases: 1) Borg-like race captures planet of any race (High cost and unrest during process but this literally turns them into your race) 2) You capture planet that was previously yours and it is populated by your race (reeducation) 3) You discover some really advanced tech (Hive-mind or something) Of course whole assimillation thing is just one option (I wrote 10 possible opt

Lowa11, are you refering to my post? If so, this option would be available to robotic and cybernetic races, and also to "Harvesters" from MoO (Basicly any lifeform infected with their parasite)

Minors should only be used as trade partners, on for invasions. But I see minors as races which havent discovered interstellar travel. I would like to see their level of advancement (Prehistoric, Ancient, Pre-Industrial, Industrial, Pre-Digital...) When you think of it, planets evolved for billions of years, but only 100 or so years can mean huge difference. Diplomatic options should be limited (Sanctions, Embargo, Trade Alliance, Declare War) but there should be some speci

"1 idea is that a planet’s income is all that is allowed to fund its projects. Problem with this idea is the planet under blockaded would want to fine tune that planets production independently of the general economy. " And big economic-powerful planets could be blocaded to reduce enemy income. Also blocade should cut all trade routes

I always thought that you need to whipe out planetary defences to blockade planet. So small ships can't do that anyway, especialy on start of the game

And saturn should have special trait "Straosphere rings" which increases tourism and influence. (BTW will there be special traits on planets, like rare fuels, hostile microbes etc.?)

There should be option to: 1) Name ship class (Like Bahamut Class Destroyers or Croatia Class Carrier or simply Laser III or Rocket IV) 2) Name ships individualy (So that you can name largest and most important ships, like B.B. Croatia or U.S.S. Enterprise)
you had Mind Control if you were telepathic and had atleast a BB in your attacking fleet
Mind Control? how does that work?

Sounds....complicated....but interesting. Well depends on what will developers say. Maybe there should be president (chairman or whatever) elections for UP. And president would get increased influence and ability to propose bills. Also number of votes should be always same (1000) andthen dividet to each civ. depending on their strenght.

Yea Xenocide But that is kinnda strange- you could treat all aliens with xenophoby and kill them without any unrest, but then how could you trade with them and go to alliance? And, later in game, do that without consequences in relations with other races?

At lest implement unrest which halves production before rioting, and also uprising in which population devastates planet and tryes to liberate themselves. They would combat army, and if they win, planet gains independence, if they lose, you still have ruined infrastructure on that planet, lost population and army (so it is basicly good to avoid uprisings). Also some guerilla action which lowers production and sometimes makes terorist attack (handled via event, in which you lose some buildings or

Seems that col. rush is a big problem. I would implement no taxes collected until pop. reaches few billion (natural government step to encourage colonization) that would make colonies grow faster in pop. but too expensive to have too many on beginning.
