just want to pop in and say that in no way should any of the red dots be removed, IMHO. i find the ship editor easy and a pleasure to work with. you can always create a few good-looking base designs, just a hull with the extras and no engines/weapons/etc, save three or four of them and upgrade them as necessary. i can't wait to get back into the game to try out the slider that changes the size of the extras. my ships will be carrying some very very big sticks, LOL. the

still not drawing my borders on the main screen or minimap. i can see my influence pushing back neighbors' borders though...
wow.. i always thought the effects were empire-wide. is there an upgrade to make the starbases mobile? 75% of all resources are not within range of any decent planets.
the slider thing happens on mine too: athlon xp @ 2.5GHz (3600+) 1gb ram ati x800xtpe 256mb
i've played maybe ten or so games and so far not one has ever drawn in my borders.
could not install. opened up stardock central, clicked update now, downloaded and everything and got this message in the logfile: -- [Account] -------------------------------------------------------- First Name: dxxx Last Name: wxxxxxxx Email: [email protected] Serial No: ERROR
i've been wondering the same thing... got a 19" with a 17" portrait-oriented beside it for 2048x1024 goodness.
it's happened to me twice now, also. saving and restarting the game worked the first time, haven't tried it yet for the other one though...
i didn't have any problems adding engines to the constructors up to speed 7. added some engines to make the colony ships speed 3 and they were ok, but when i took them up to speed 6 everything looked hunkydory except they would not colonize planets, just sit there next to them.
awesome thank you
try tilting your monitor all the way back... if that doesn't do the trick, move it to the front of your desk and sit on a footstool or a big dictionary and look up at it for a greater effect.
the readme was all release notes, and if there's a thread within the first ten pages or so i must have missed it.... currently reading through some GalCiv (original) guides looking for carry-overs.....
just downloaded the beta 3 and am having some trouble figgering out what works what.... is it all point and click or are there necessary (or even helpful) keyboard commmands?
