The only thing I can think of....since both DX and SDC are working for me, is that I installed DX after updating SDC , but before re-booting. So I actually installed DX with the older SDC version. If you didn't archive before updates or don't have a restore backed up I think you're stuck until they fix it because you don't seem to be alone with this. Looking on the positive side of this....the beer was great <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/miam.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

This SDC install was a re-boot...I don't think SDC installed correctly. The themes d/l would go to established folders while Elves and DX would not. Not sure you shouldn't un-install (re-boot) and re-install SDC (re-boot)....I know it's a pain, but I think your problem is there versus other proggies... You can try the DX un-install route first (save themes and objects folders to temp folder) and delete anything else remaining after un-install. Make sure you uncheck DX 'run on startup' before you

Annie- In SDC settings/general check clear temp folder on refresh. Refresh your apps. and restart SDC. Try the install again. It sounds like it's trying to archive your old install...might try and put a check on that archive option and see what that does....
