NO idea what you mean by stretch or compress. Are you referring to the skin being used on another PC with a different monitor resolution, or something?
Yes. Skins need to be able to 'look right' on different resolutions or when stretched taller or wider [and reverse] ...;)
Grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, so I know where Livonia is. Last 20 years in central California. 90 miles south of Sacramento. On and on, I ask. Is there a place to just bull shit around? Tell moderately dirty jokes? I've heard a few in my years.
You are in "Wincustomize talk" which is as good a place as any for inanity ...;) I'm a wee bit further afield from Livonia than you....[but I have been

PaulyWalnuts...hi... I'm typing this slowly so you can keep up... ;) I'm almost as old [so actually typing as fast as I can]... I'm not sure at the moment how much of the tutorials etc went AWOL but with a bit of Luck T-Man will hunt down what can be hunted down. Give us all a bit more time.... And yes, heard of Kiss... bunch of blokes with a pre-occupation with make-up.... sang OK, though...;)

Curiously, my messing with VMs currently has me with a Windows 10 VM on a Windows 7 machine. I may yet attempt to put an 11 VM on, though I expect a lot more hurdles. Hard enough having to run a compatible VMWare for a 7 host...;)

Notification of Trevor's appointment came at an unfortunate time - just as the sites crashed and went dark. Congratulations with the appointment, Trevor. Once upon a time there was a 'requirement' that to work for Stardock you had to 'understand' Monty Python. So, are we up to speed with the carrying capacity of the African Swallow? ;)

All the communication proggies we have used over the decades ... all gone [or going]. Next step is I'll get a message "Teams will soon not be able to be used on Windows 7 machines. Please purchase a new computer to run Windows 11". Fuck that.... I have them beat [almost]. I run Windows 10 Pro 64 in a VM on my Windows 7 Ult 64 machine... Up their nose with a rubber hose, I say ...;)

Messing around with trade/tariff restrictions means stock exchange/investment uncertainty. What America has done in one day wiped $45,000 AUD off my superannuation. Money I had worked for for half a century. My choices will be simple. I need to die earlier than expected.

There was nothing more heart-breaking than looking down the barrel of what realistically would have been the end of OS skinning as a 'thing'. All the other sites dedicated to the craft are long-gone, so to see the composing of that message wasn't at all good. I still remember being messaged about a new site just about to come online ... you need to join up. That's how I ended up with the User ID number '23'. I wasn't with Stardock then, and the first 20 numbers wer

It's a bit of coding that blanks what you typed until the reader mouses over... Eg... "spoiler alert" don't look at this next bit unless you want to get spoiled....
should be like this

I must disagree with you Jafo that "Abandonware" as a term, was purely invented to justify copyright violations, instead of simply being used to describe software no longer sold or support offered.
Just to clarify....the declaration of what becomes called 'Abandonware' is a determination by the Copyright holder only. Finding old software that may not be relevant to modern systems does not define 'Abandonwa

Whether old or new, Stardock's products are proprietary and it is illegal to redistribute them without consent. The term "abandonware" is a construct created by people to attempt to justify violations of copyright. Stardock retains the exclusive right to determine what can and cannot be distributed by/to a third party. Unless there is a future change of position the answer is a simple "no".
