Sean ... I just had the Fences update on the boss's machine...she's on Win10...I'm using an old fence [pickets] on Win 7 so not the newbie... Changelog screen ended up full height of screen with no way to remove/ok it... had to kill the process...and underneath was the notice to reboot... May panic people if it can't be closed independently...;)

[quote who="naroon1" reply="7" id="3961744"] Being told this, just encouraged me to Create A Monthly Topic After Advice on doing so from Jafo and Jan. [/quote] I doubt I'll ever be a massive fan of AI [certainly not until it understands Architecture as well as I do] but there is no doubt it is popular... the 'views' don't lie. It's only going to get more popular [and common] so me the dinosaur must give in to the new. I could see its popularity, hence the th

[quote who="PhoenixRising1" reply="2" id="3961685"] Im not understanding why Naroon deserves to be called out here and in this way. Have you tried messaging him at all? [/quote] Yes, it was my suggestion to Naroon to post a monthly thread re AI art. It could equally be anyone doing so. It's a bit like complaining that Doc posts the screenshot threads each month [mostly]. Both threads are open to anyone's input, 1 for AI walls/art, the other is for deskt

I have now 3 "main" machines....looks like they are Gen 4/5 and 2 Gen 7. Primary machine's CPU dates to 2014 [it just happened to be the best you could get back then] and the other 2 are 2017 and were less than half the price then of the one in 14. None of them is a "1200 dollar" anything that could be replaced every 2 years... the first one is still the 'main one' and has been since 2015 with an uptime measured in years....[over 10]. I'm not going to let MS dictate ho

We really have come a long way since the days of that famous BIOS message... Keyboard not found. Press F1 to continue.

[quote who="DrJBHL" reply="25" id="3961019"] Tiny suggestion...if you have one of those cylindrical pool floats (or the like) lying about, cutting an appropriate length and putting a slit in it can save your hand when you have to pick it up and move it. [/quote] A forklift... the empty case weighs 50lb...and now it ain't empty...;)

Finally got it all as I wanted it... Probably needs a little more panel beating, but as systems go it's up and running correctly. 6 Physical hard drives with the OS on a seventh - an M.2 - price on those has gone way down compared with my first one back in 2015 .... a tenth of the price. So this is 021 of 500 ...;)

Possibly the only time you might stay with Fences 3 is if you are a dinosaur like me and still running Windows 7. Both are contemporaries so well suited. I have no real reason to move to 5, however all the other systems are on Fences 5 [and Windows 10] ...;)

Update... Level 10 No. 021 is 'mostly' up and running. It came complete with a MoBo, CPU and fan and various cables and was pretty 'dirty' ... the previous owner was clearly a smoker. Yes, in the good old days of smoking on planes the service crews could always find cabin leaks from the nicotine stains [true story]. The MoBo was a Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 7 LGA1151 MotherBoard, and the CPU was Intel i7 7700 3.60Ghz @3.50Ghz LGA1151 CPU, so not too scr
