It's because when I came in to make this post, my account was no longer there. I have no idea how or why. I've never done anything on this form to have my account deleted or suspended or whatever. Thanks for your sarcastic post. I'm looking for real answers not this kind of crap!
Can you let us know what your original account nick was so we can coordinate responses. Stardock's sites went dark for around a month

Opening Start 11 v2 from OD shows it activated.. but it did pop up the activate notice on boot and thus was obviously not aware of the OD sub.
I just had Terry's machine spit a dummy re activations on Fences and Start 11 ... I made a point of reinstalling OD and checking its settings ... possibly now OK.
How are you all?
Dunno about 'all' but most of me is OK. This time last year I was in hospital after losing an argument with a pothole on my bike... broken collarbone and tibia. Arguably I'm better one year later. Music-wise... week before last I was front row at Jesus Christ Superstar.... seemed better than the first time I saw it in the early seventies. Yesterday I booked tickets for 3rd row at Hair this November.... hop
To err is human.....
Yes... I've used it on two Win 10 systems [one was a VM] seems to do as described...;)
I joined and used it for over a week.
Iben.... WTF is it? You sort of left out the important bit of your 'review' ...;)
Did I goof by not downloading all the individual pieces that were "current" during the time my license was active?
Typically, yes. The traditional OD Subscription model always meant it was wise to download anything you needed and keep on your machine as a hard copy, particularly if you allowed the Subscription to lapse/end. If you had no intention to cease the Subscription you would still lose old versions being accessible unless you had DL'd t
Yes, it does. We can mark this one as resolved. I reset my PC and it started working. Drastic solution but I felt like it had to be some kind of misconfiguration on my end.
Good to hear... [not about misconfiguration on your end] but that it's resolved...;)
There's probably a reason it's being detected.
Yes, it was explained above in comment #3.
Assuming it's a False Positive?
No. People have seen their AV report and have checked here to be told correctly that it is a false positive. Some AV companies [not usually Kaspersky] are painfully slow in rolling out updated signatures. It's a common issue.
I have Kaspersky Total Security 21.3.10.391 on 3 systems, 2 on Win 10 and this one on Win 7 . I'll check the other 2 as if it's an update that's creating the notice I am yet to update those. Silly me... 7 is still running Fences 3.1.6.1 The others will be more up to date....
I have been using Fences for many years, but I cannot risk it, so for the moment I will do without it and then we will see if I can reinstall it.
Please note comment 3 above yours. There is no danger. It is a false positive which means that during installation set Kaspersky to accept the file and you can continue to use Fences as normal. ;)
That will be a 'false positive', though I cannot recall my Kaspersky ever flagging it...and this system has been active/live for 10 years with both Fences AND Kaspersky for all that time. Stardock's products are clean, however on several occasions false positives are reported, though typically from the 'less capable' AV programs.
Dragged from 3 years ago by spam ...;)
That is the reason i chose to publicize them here and not on a site like DeviantArt.
Typically we protect digital rights/copyrights hence the moderation process. With the advent of the DMCA the chasing of protections was required to be done by the copyright owner directly, so things changed a bit. I was always less than happy with the inferior due diligence of Devart's "protection" on the many occasions I

Difference is that Copyright Laws exist for that just as in the 'real world'. There was a time when if you had NOT been ripped it meant you simply hadn't don
I'm linking to an AI wallpaper I like because I don't own it.
Until "The World" creates International Copyright Laws that include AI 'generated' graphics specifically there is absolutely no restriction on their posting. Sad reality is that nothing anyone ever currently 'creates' using AI can be legally 'owned'.... even by the person who did all the button clicking.
I fixed it!! I downloaded all the C++ redistributibles, the Windows Media Pack, and reset my graphics settings to normal. All is well.
Tell Doc the 15lb was still too light... If ya can't fix it with a sledgie then ya doin' it wrong ...;)

That said, the 2 VMs also currently running are 1920 x 1080 [and by definition also native]. The nice bit is the 'main ma

Gotta do an image restore... will be back soonish
