i agree with jscott 1 month instead of a week is a more reasonable time. I should add also that anyway 1 month and 100 million new taxpayers would also be a bit unreasonable, until lucky galciv people don't do sex 24h a day .

if every war you declare your good alignment should be lowered probably there would be a great unbalancement between good and evil alignment, and remember that good choice imply so hard choices for now.Anyway i agree with you in principle
Consulting so often galciv2 wiki i have done some considerations about a galacticopedia. While galciv2 wiki is not yet fi ished it is so useful and well written that the introduction of a galacticopedia in the game would be a very great addon.Usually the biggest problem of civilopedia or galacticopedia is collecting and writing so much informations, but all these informations are nearly already written so a galacticopedia needs only to be structured and linked to the game. What a galacticopedia ne
Anyone has any feedback about courage during planetary invasions?how it is related to soldiering?
A Suggestion: AI minor races should be allowed to colonize all planets inside their star system, if they are toned down due to less money at start they will be only cannon fodder for my ships. At least they should be able to defend their "lebensraum"
Item #7: I just rechecked the code. Here's the issue: The population increase is capped at 100 and then if morale = 100% you still get that bonus. Population is simply increasing so much that the bonus is meaningless. What needs to be changed is that the population ability bonus is applied AFTER the cap has been implemented. I'm going to do that right now actually.</
Yes totally agreed an option which disable tech trading and is applied to everyone is a must considering also how tech trading is managed.Anyway tech trading should be also fixed, i'm obliged to play ideological war scenario just to not play a game with an insane tech trading
I have played as torians and can say that as horgel2 noticed population was growing at 0,125 billion per turn in my homeworld, i noticed also that with moral at 100% population growth is doubled at 0,25 billion per turn.Anyway population growth bonus are not applied torians have 30%population growth bonus but it wasn't applied. On a game as terran alliance my colonies grew at 0,1 billion people at month
Men there are in my opinion other factors which needs to be explained.COURAGE.What is courage in game?In planetary invasion i don't see any courage factor.LOYALTY.it can easily explained what is loyalty but how it influences the game? And probably the most important; i have created some thread about it but are totally unanswered: what about ADVANTAGE FACTOR and how it can be calculated based on a level of soldiering, tech tree, courage(perhaps) and invasion tactic?i hope to find an answer.
Yes, thank you. i didn't notice anything about research before your post. But i would add another ability which in the game doesn't appear to have any effect: POPULATION GROWTH. I was playing with Torians and while they have 30% population growth bonus it didn't applied in my games.U can simply reproduce it by playing with torians
about an invasion tactic with mass drivers i meant that advantage factor will be always AT LEAST between 10 and 15 due to air superiority and not taking in account other factor as soldiering, courage or tech level
In a planetary invasion the advantage factor is based on 3 elements soldiering tech and courage.I read that the invader has always a +5 advantage factor due to air superiority. My question is how soldiering, tech level affect advantage factor? What is courage how it influence an invasion, there is no mention of courage during an invasion.Another important question is does number of invaders affect advantage factor, or the advantage factor don't take in account number of defenders and that of invad
Is normal that the population growth at the beginning is 0,13 billion per turn?i read that population growth should be 0,2 billion per turn so it's a bug or what?another thing i noticed is that while torians have 30% population growth this bonus is not applied, so is this another bug?
i'm playing always at intelligent level and ideological war scenario simply because i really don't like how tech trade is managed.the scenario is a 3vs3vs3 war or humans, altarians and iconians vs drengin, yor, korx vs torians, arceans, drath.I can say that the strategy i'm using is always winning and it consists in an early warmongering against my next enemy civilizations. i always go for weapons technology and planetary invasion technology. At the beginning intelligent AI is always building colony
I can appear a bit annoying but having nearly all minor races the same portrait isn't so good, simply i don't feel the difference between calor and alkilians or jessuins and paulos if all of them have the same portraits. There is any plan to see more minor race portraits in a future bonus pack at least?
an easy but important addon request no tech trade button option before starting a game
If they introduced a "max colony" factor that accounted for tech/income/etc., it could be interesting... I would be against this "max colony factor", but i would that colonizing would be more costly than it is at this stage.I heard that Brad was going to link population to production in a future patch, it could be a first step to balance colon
it is a bit like civ3 where more settler u build the better it is but there should be some counterbalancement.CIV4 in that has done an exceptional job.It is a 4x game so expansion is the ultimate objective of the game but at least let's add some mainteinance to planets based on distance from civilization capital, there should be a balancement between expansion and consolidation
It is a bit annoying that everygame i have to play in the same way, factory, build colony ship, factory, colny ship for the first turns only to try to prevent AI colonization rush.I hope that things could be a bit tweaked like buying colony ship for player and AI a bit more costly or at least less money at the beginning.I don't know if adding mainteinance to some buildings could be a good idea but for now advantages from a fast colonization are too high, and i would to start my game without havin
A. Since i got GC2, CIV4 stay always on the shelf B. I play both but play more GC2 than CIV4 C.Play more CIV4 than GC2 D.GC2 didn't met my expectations i prefer a lot more CIV4, so my GC2 box remain on the shelf E.i don't play, i'm always lurking on gc2 or civ4 forums My choice for now is A, i'm only playing a PBEM on CIV4
i must add that population grew exponentially every turn so i had to close the game. This bug could ruin an entire game so it could be very serious
ah i understand now they are large ships. sometimes i'm very dumb
I was playing drengin human wars on a duel map and i noticed that after invading a drengin planet there was a great bug. I had 1000 troops drengin 5000 i had to won the battle with 200 people remained but while drengin troops were 0 my troops gone also to 0 so the planet remained to drengin. After i went to planet screen and saw that planet population was like initial population 5000.After 1 turn planet population went to 10000, after 2 turns the population was 31000, after 3 turns populati
youngpimpin you have 2 cargo hulls 2 tiny 2 small hulls per race, altarians have only 1 cargo hull? or you have at the beginning of the game 7 hulls for terrans and 7 hulls for yor (normal hulls should be 6 2 cargo 2 small 2 tiny)
