Was this to fix tech trading? Because that didn't work. No, this was so that you could no longer trade a handful of crappy techs for enormous amounts of money. That, is an exploit. You can't really argue with that when you think about it. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColo

Alot of bugs..well. a huge amount. Which could have been solved already in the release Shall you do the maths, or shall I? Alright, I will. Firstly, there appear to be a very limited number of bugs, just some re-occur in computers. It isn't unplayable, my first few games were out of the box. Secondly, Stardock has (as has been
Your best bet is to go to the raceconfig.xml file and change the PQ bnous of your favourite race to +100%. This won't make everything 25, just everything above 11. But why would you want to? wheres the fun in winning from a good start? hard, bloody slog all the way!
Can we get some fire hydrants hooked up? you may experience a warm burning situation as not just fanboys but ordinary gamers who happen to like "hypothetical" cheese set you alight. This may also open a new dimension for cheese. Perhaps the Douglas Adams reference at the end of tech victory is really about cheese? what a cheesy idea. At least this AI doesnt use cheese. To cheese, or not to cheese, that is the gouda. I'm going to stop now before someone bans me <img src="h
No, the game isn't totally buggy. Yes, lots of people have problems. But it's selling so many amounts, that it's a tiny percentage. Patronising I know, but have you patched it? (if you say no, then prepare for a horrific death ) It can be a lot of things, like RAM, a memory leak, firewalls, antispyware, or even some hidden malware. Make sure none
The Poly count? you mean, like the One MILLION poly ship that was imported, and allowed the game to run fine? There is absolutely no poly count. There is no maximum. The only maximum is when your computer gets so hot it CTD's but the new patch has taken care of that issue. The base models are low end because the game is designed for laptops and low end machines, and scaling only does so much. I have to admit though, the lights thing was a bit of a disappointment, it blurs like snow. But poly cou
People have been working for the translation, and there is some code .xml files, and where to put them. Only problem is the .xml doesnt copy well, so some editing to make it fit is needed, but it'll work. The problem seems that frogboy and co are working on a fix assuming the game is 1.0x like paradox said, but it isn't. Anyway, heres the link Link
there are numerous posts, and a sticky about this. Paradox were supposed to translate it and ship the game as 1.0x, both of which they failed to do properly. Forgboy said that they were translating 1.0x to fix it, as he thought that that was the current german version, but many people show proof its the original game. Players from Germany are working on the file translations right now. L

with the new patch and the 3% pop growth, it'll be vital to keep troops alive, as 3% of 100mil is only 3 mil. A pop increase per turn of 3 is nothing. But it's true that currently, with a high enough moral, troops aren't worth much. I take it you're an evil civ?
You know it is quite insulting to even suggest that people doesnt know how to play this game Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. Looks like I phrased it all rather badly What I mean is the economy isnt (
For anyone who have is a fan of turn based strategy games it is absolutely vital for players to plan tactics and strategy based on the rules of the game and the information provided by the game. This is not some big secret, it is just the dynamics of a strategy game. I'm sorry, that's rubbish. If you're a fan of turn based strategy you should l
his way a beginning empire can affort to have 1 planet beyond their logistics cost, but trying anything above that will very quick consume their economic budget just to maintain. Of cause these values are changable I think 25BCs a colony is pretty high personally but its a rough figure to demonstrate the principle. </TAB
Damnit! WHY MUST YOU TOY WITH OUR FEELINGS? Cruel, yet I like it
Who cares if they are the strongest? They can't take on 3 races at once. Bunch of robo-wusses
I thought you had to pick straight away, thats the point. How did you avoid picking?
Well, theres a few (Bear in mind the fact I'm 16, and really haven't been able to play MOO or anything like that). The Metal Gear series has always had very good strategic play which I like, probably more so (IMO) than splinter cell. One of my old favourites is the sims (I know. I need help) Because, I like to be god, yet have no actual responsibility like Black and White needs. The game that had the biggest impact on me was probably the first game I ever played, Dogfight on the Amiga. it crashe
Sorry to disappoint you, but no. Brad uses them for gameplay examples by zooming in above and taking screenies, and checking a ships info if you have the espionage. You can (once you're used to being zoomed in) tell exactly what a ship can do by looking at it (weapons, especially lasers, stick out. Engines are a diff colour, defences are a bit harder to see) Hey wait, why do you want to compare? attack them and see! <img src="http://images.stardo
It is balanced. Good and neutral gang up on evil (7v3), and goods defences complety block out psionic beams. And psionic missiles. Neutral, of course, is busy using it's extra upgrade tiles and trade slots to fund the destruction of evil. But the point harper is making, is that evil random events give very good bonuses. If you wait a while for evil xeno ethics, you can get some nice bonuses out of the soldiering, starship, research events etc, where good need it quickly because almost all
Econ, sensors and speed are lifesavers, especially one time when I ended up with a +700 and a +300 manu on my home planet. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING. Admittedly, getting a colony ship out every two turns from the beginning is cool, but being at 69%taxes and 30% industrial is not. I was rushing for anomalies (which I could see and reach thanks to bonuses) to keep myself in funding. It took 3 pq 12+ economy planets to break even. Course, still playing it to see how it ends, but my cruisers ar
It's worth it though for neutral (All planet tiles upgraded, extra trade routes) and Evil (new weapons), along with the fact that the wonders are amazing. Steal other civs tourism money, free invasion tactics etc. I only leave it out if I'm good, not really enough bonuses to warrant it
I didn't say it was completely right. But I know I have evidence for it, one game where the Terrans could surrender to me (custom, close) or Drengin (war). The drengin and terran AI's dislike each other AFAIK (might be wrong again, might just be Torian and Drengin that always fight), but I saved reloaded 3 times, and each time I got the rousing "Give em hell!" message. Really cool. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF39
Wait for 1.1 to come out, they're making quite a few econ/research etc changes
Briefly AFAIK Approval= empire wide Moral= planet wide Popularity= what other people think of you No idea if these are right, but they seem to work. Don't know why when you buy or complete zero-g it doesnt change moral though.
Zendo: it's worth it twice over. This is, in all honestly, the most fun and addicting game I've bought in a few years (including MMO's). It just rules, and looking at some of the stuff for 1.1 in the dev journals, it looks like it'll only get better
