I'm not entirely sure on graphical modding, but I know you can mod hull/weapon textures, so it MIGHT be possible to change colour. However, I'm not entirely sure, as graphical modding is something I don't do.

Lenius, are you paying any attention? I don't have low taxes. I have a morale focused strategy. I keep my morale as high as I can with 2 or 3 morale buildings on a size 12+ planet. Yes, it weakens my manufacturing ability somewhat. But I'm keeping high taxes and high morale. You have no right to call anyone close minded. Well you do, but still you should actually read what they say first. I'm sure your strategy works wonderfully, I just prefer actually having a high income. It's rather evident y

That's simply wrong. You know they have morale buildings? You can't keep 100% full time, now. But I can still keep taxes high and morale high at the same time using those morale buildings and bonuses. Frankly, all the assumptions you've made about my gamestyle are incorrect. I ALWAYS have a powerful economy, and I've never been below the top 3. I don't need any more cash like that to start the game, and I'm making use of the pop growth bonuses. Don't call someone's advice shodd

No, you can't make a mod where you invent weapon statistics, and also mods aren't supported by the metaverse.

I can respect people who have different beliefs if they can stand up to scutiny and argument, be it political or metaphysical or otherwise, so I'll take the opportunity to criticize what I see and give them the chance to earn some respect. Yes. And nowadays, anyone attempting to scrutinize will probably be called anti-religious, not taken seriou

Nothing to do with micromanagement as to why it wont make it. It would be a major strain on the AI, and whether you use it or not the developers spent time on it. I don't want an expansion pack with features I dislike, which would be why I don't buy the second expansion, and if ideas like this got in, I wouldn't buy DA either.

10 Replies 5,845 Views

No, I really don't. They can get the hell out of my street and stop being evangelistic prats. NO-ONE has the freedom to tell others what they will believe. I don't give a crap whether that's been fought for or not, it's utter hypocrist. Freedom to remove freedom? No thanks. I'll thank God when he deserves it.

That sort of weaponary wont happen until tactical combat, and I'm extremely glad. For one: it would require a hell of a lot of AI rework. Forget having to make their own ships from stats available, they now have to do it with weaponary? balance out what would be useful, and is required at this time? There are too many variables to make it into DA due to AI restrictions, and personally I don't think it's a very fun idea anyway. I play GC2 for strategy management, not to microman

If your being invaded your doing something wrong. Probably your economy is poor because your taxes are so low. The quicker you reach and afford 100% spending and a good manufacturing base the better, it's much more important than having a slightly higher pop and a useless high approval rating. Also small military makes you a target and is an obvious flaw in your

Unless they're ten year olds, in which case it's amusing. As moosetek said (much as I think he's talking rubbish for point 3) invite them in. Heh, my dogs HATE strangers. Ten minutes of them growling and baring their teeth is enough to make sure that they don't try it again. But yes, those pamphlets they pass about are hypocritical tripe.

Lenius: Wrong. Approval is very, very important. If it's at 31%, you WILL NOT have the population to fight a war or get income. Because it's not growing. Your strategy is flawed, you're losing up to 40% of tax money for no bonus by not keeping morale as high as possible. 100% morale = 100% pop growth bonus. If you're getting 31% population, you're doing something VERY wrong yourself. Invasions happen in the game, and since I play with as little military as I can be bothered wit

try to keep fleets as balanced as possable, for example 1 Huge, 2 Large,3 Medium and many small and tiny as it permits. This gartentees that you will go pretty well because it the same sets that the comp. uses. Comp doesn't do everything best. I find if you can build a fleet of 5 huge ships that will simply annhilate everything they run acr

. Also Marco, we also had problem down here were the aborigines sniffed petrol, natural gas, paint fumes (anything that could be sniffed) so now we have pertol that doesn't have any fumes or anything. . Wrong. As has been pointed out, you're getting high off the lack of o2 reaching the brain due to the haemoglobin being polluted. It's a similar

(wierd huh). Not particularily, you're just getting high off the fumes. Don't do it too much though, they contain nasty carcinogens. Not worth it for a fairly mediocre high.

Ignore the fleets. That doesn't matter. Look at each individual ship. Ship attack / Ship defence + hp = priority Highest priority is attacked. Which means the biggest threat is killed first, which means that the AI automatically fights to reduce incoming damage ASAP. Which is why it's a good idea to protect battleships with little 5/0 fighters that get targetted first.

Influence makes no sense. Food could, but not really. Morale? What, you ship the unpopular people there? Production and Research are the only ones that come to mind when thinking of what a moon could really do. Certainly no influence.

16 Replies 10,175 Views

That I'm completely against. Say you get a pq 28 with manu capital + a precursor mine. It's already an amazingly powerful planet. Now chuck in a moon bonus. More powerful still. Now chuck in 3 or 4 free tiles. Sorry, but IMHO that's a bit too much as well as the bonus you already get. Maybe make it so the pop cap acts as if the class is +3 what it is, but no building on it.

do you accept? Good god no. This isn't a democracy, what the hell gave you that idea? This is Stardock's forum, their word is law. No democracy involved whatsoever. And yes, I can challenge what you say or do. That would be part of democracy... I can challenge anything you say, and sorry but your idiotic and flawed logic won't really do

I belive in equal punisment, an eye for an eye, forgiveness before justice etc. etc. belive in what you will, just respect my belives. Beliefs. And no. You come to the forum whining about someone, you've just laid down any right to complain when someone smacks you in the mouth for being an irritating git, let alone if someone happens to disagree
