Bug. Please post a debug.err

1) I see that in the beta the tax gained from a planet goes up much less for a higher population, does this mean that farms will become much less valued and the farming bonus tiles will become much less wanted. Nope, it's square root of pop. This is made up for by the fact that above 27bil pop morale
Well, the ship isn't recognising that there's something in the way. Make sure only non-military ships go on auto-explore. But it should do a check that nothing is in the way before it tries to explore there.
Probably, hence the "beta" And those drivers and a reboot will fix it.
I think the formula only kicks in above 10.
Yeah, Zippy, the game isn't that buggy. Besides, if you read the post, you may notice he isn't being sarcastic about the people asking for help, he's being sarcastic about the outstandingly lazy/insulting/annoying/trolling people.
Ideally the metaverse game would be saved when exiting the game with no other saving allowed. However, how fun would it be if you played for a couple of hours and then had a crash. And there would still be ways to cheat: Quitting before something important happened, reload and if things didn't went well, shut do
It's not SDC. But please post a debug.err (if you can), this sounds like a serious problem. Try and get the machine to run the game, and see if you can get smartexception. If you have any tech-whiz friends, get them to have a look. If it freezes on startup, then somehow you must have taken out a system file while removing the demo. Either that or it's crappy luck. Bump so those who are better with comps than me can take a look
Well, just click on the one that matches closest to what the default is, and slightly change that. I don't see it is a problem, but the Dev's or others might want to look into it, so bump.
A farm lists how many it increases. It varies depending on the tech, but I believe base is 4. It's not indicated. It's mentioned on the galciv wiki though, https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Population The formula is Maximum Population (in billions) = 0.02 * ( ( PQ + 1 ) ^ 3 )
I know that usually fitting a ship with two different weapon systems doesn't happen, Have you never played the game? Happens all the time, as do multiple defences. It's worked out so that weapons are all fired as one, and defences are all used as one, to each weapon individually. Theres a
The sad thing is, it's true! It's all true! Whoever gave noobs and trolls access to computers needs to be locked away.
Well, if it kills it then press the back button without refreshing, keeps the data before it resubmits. Yeah, save/reload should be disabled for MV. Too many ways to exploit it already, without skipping past the bad luck bits. If I get a piece of bad luck, I take it, and get whooped. Adds to the replayability (who wants a game where you either win or lose all the time?)
There isn't (that I know of) They are randomly generated.
Hells yes! Bumping for brilliance. I definately want to whoop the Drengin with these
Ya rly
He meant name some major bugs. it is in fact a very buggy release by any objective analysis. Remember most of the crashes were caused by people either overheating their video cards (Dev's were working on getting low end machines to work, didn't think of problems with high end) or people wh
Well, consider how easy it is to cheese. Save before UP vote, get a bad result, reload. It's implemented so that you can't exploit this, by penalising you. I don't think it'll ever be turned off.
Really? I'm sure I've seen an animation before. If not, there's probably a mod floating about somewhere. *cough hack DOOM RAY RULES cough*
All these are mildly annoying, you missed out the broken loyalty (there is a second loyalty option, due to a mistype it isn't made available). I generally fix these myself by editing their effects, and making doom ray look like particle beam.
No, because then your ships die. Constructors etc are fast to avoid being blown up. The size is changed, which eliminates your issue, and there is no drag in space. I'd have thought that would be obvious
No you can't, this game has no multiplayer. Hotseat is available from cheat mode, but nothing cross network.
If you believe this game has the most bugs ever, you are, quite frankly, an idiot. 1. THIS IS DELIBERATE. It's to stop people from save/reloading and changing the outcome of a game. 2. Please post a debug.err, so we can see why this is. I'm willing to bet you haven't upgraded your drivers. There is a possibility it's the game, but this game is VERY well made. Most porblems have been resolved in newer versions. 3. A corrupted save f
Frame rate throttling. Above a certain rate, the game stops the frames, as there was a huge problem with about 5% of users who have brilliant video cards, the game would overheat, hit 100 degrees, and everything would die. Could you post a debug.err file?
You don't, hence core designs. If you must you can look for the ship design in the galciv2 directory folder. Ah, money is fun.
