Philly, I am on XP, and it is the free version of cursorXP/FX. Frogboy/Brad, I will try to contact support, I'm not sure how to do that, but it will have to be tomorrow at this point. Thanks to everyone for the help!

Philly, like I said, I do have SDC, I ran it, the only update it offered me was "desktopX". I"m sorry but I don't see where to get the latest update, and anything I try and download will not install.

In the other main thread they talk about version 2.00.004, Brad's link is giving me 2.0.0.0. Sorry but I don't see where to get .004. And even with everything I can find uninstalled I still can't even get FX to install. Thanks for your help!!

I just clicked on the link for the "update" Brad provided. I have now downloaded 4 times rebooted 5 times, uninstalled 3 times over 2 days. Just tried whole process again and still got "fatal error". Started SDC for the first time in a while, it checked for updates and only gave me "desktopX".

So now I have tried to remove CursorFX and start again. Neither XP or FX show on Add Remove Programs or in CCleaner program list yet I still have Ecliz working as my cursor. I search and there is still XP in Stardock under Program files, though I uninstalled it yesterday. Tried reinstalling FX and same "fatal error". Anyone with ideas?

OK maybe instructions would help...do we uninstall the first version? I just downloaded the "update", it started by uninstalling the original, and near the end of the install process it gave me "Error. Could not access network location\Themes" and then "fatal error". :NOTSURE:

I have now installed and uninstalled FX 3 times, to be clear it works OK with the cursors that come with it, but for me XP themes have to be dumped into the theme folder and I lost them all in having to uninstall XP. Zargon0225 says the themes go into %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes but for me it is in Allusers>shared documents>stardock>cursorFX>themes..... :NOTSURE:

Yes, repeatedly. Now after 2 hours I just found the "theme" folder for CursorFX in All Users>application data>shared documents>shared pictures!! The rest of CursorFX is in program files, just the theme folder was hidden away. So I dumped a theme file in there, now it is the only theme that shows up when I open the program, all the themes that came with it are not available...? I guess that folder is only for the effects? Thanks for your help, but gotta go for now. I'll check back tomorr

I guess I need instructions to install new cursors/themes. I've installed FX, uninstalled XP (and in doing so lost all the themes I had downloaded for that), rebooted a couple times, uninstalled/reinstalled, downloaded a few themes either to desktop or had them open with CursorFX and....nuthin'. I can't see anywhere to put the files I've downloaded into the program file, double clicking them when they are on desktop does not do anything....??

I'm sure someone with more detailed knowledge than I have will be along soon to help, but when I had this problem it was suggested to me to re-install Logonstudio. Not sure what causes it, but that corrected it for me.

xscorpx... Thank you for your response. I was only now, for the first time in 2 days, able to get it to re-start in safe mode. I have just restored to a May 6 point. I did uninstall a few programs May6, but it has worked OK up until now. After the restore it seems to be up and running OK ! I do have a kubuntu cd, and I was hoping to keep this machine and install Linux, but the sis-in-law decided she wants it back. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sad.gif" b

Turned on the "offending" computer, there are NO beeps at all- actually does not seem to now even show the Dell screen at all, but I can still make F2 and F12 work. When I turn on my other/"good" Dell 8200 there is one beep when it is on it's Dell setup screen. (I should probably mention the machine that is not working has not been hooked up to the internet for months). I'm still hoping someone out there has some ideas ?! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Hmm.gif"

Calling any PC experts, if they have a moment. I have a Dell Dimension 8200 (5 years old?)as a second computer. Months ago I took off almost all software except XP and MS Works, waiting to have a use for the machine. I turn it on every month or so, and just make sure it still runs. Just tried turning it on many times and I can't get to the logon screen. The machine turns on, the Dell setup screen shows, then the XP bootscreen runs, then the screen goes black and there is a "c
