The wording I shoulda used was that I just felt that anyone starting with "My Very Own Logon" should/could acknowledge the Boss for helping out !!

The method that I learned in that link, with the help and blessing of Boss0190, was to use his logon "My Very Own Logon", open the folder to show the bitmaps, and just replace the "bitmap_100" with your choice of wallpaper (in bitmap form). Pretty easy - even I managed it with his help !! It works great for my own use - I change the bitmap for the logon every few days for a new look. (Just heed the warnings i

Try reading this post from a while ago - it should give you some ideas of doing it on your own. Just make sure to take Boss0190's warning to heart !! WWW Link

Is there a wireless signal? Can I check on my stock holdings?? Can I get my emails??? Ah, the %&@$ mountains are probably blocking the signal!! Are there mosquitos, I hate mosquitos, there won't be any there right?? I'll picture this in my mind tomorrow at work when I'm about to throttle..... Picture yourself near a stream. Birds are softly chirping in a cool cr

What do you mean "the results are rather depressing"? Does that mean your opinion of what is taking place day-to-day? (not being critical, just wondering) I'm not too sure about the not interacting though - I stay on the fringes around here (cuz of lack of knowledge and experience), but it seems like there are a lot of people who interact with each other very often, and not necessarily only on this site. I drop by other related sites - skinartistry, DA, etc. - and see the same names ev

Communities can be defined by location, race, ethnicity, age, occupation, interest in particular problems or outcomes, or other common bonds. By the definition you put forward WC seems to fit the criteria exactly - communication by people with a common interest (skinning), communicating about that interest. Using a strict interpretation of this definition DA could possibly be considered less of a community since the interests and artwork th

You would never be able to tell that from the result !! Very nice work Po' ! Since you've started .... I'd like a golf ball, a hockey puck, since it's St. Pat's day a ball for hurling (don't know if it even has a name?), and a ..... ah, just kidding ! Great stuff, as usual !!

That's how it should work, but when I was having trouble with the same problem, Boss0190 - the king of all things Logon - had me re-install Logonstudio and that fixed the problem. Also, you could check out this former forum post. https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=359&aid=137805#1105876

"13"....kidding! You can call me by my real name Mark..."Arcturus" is a nickname I've used for a while, for this and a few other sites (13 cuz I must have been the 13th un-original person in line for the name ). Protocol would likely see you using a person's nick within site community interaction....but the longer you interact/know people the

You can start with these , from the ObjectDock library and the forums.... ....and I suspect someone more experienced (perhaps Bichur) will be along shortly, if you have any questions!! https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=5539&libid=29 https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=59&aid=84442#1100427

I've use "Rainlendar", and only know it for a calendar. WWW Link "Rainmeter" (that I have NOT used) is from the same people. It sounds more like Sysmetrix, and shows weather on the promo shot. WWW Link Note: there are 2 versions of "Rainlendar" - most "skins" you will find won't necessarily work well with the newer "Rai

I've been trying to learn some of the graphics programs so I will be able to create and "skin" - now I'm not too sure I should continue my planned course of action, lest I get sucked into the "dark side" of skinning !!

Firefox and tabs....even though I too have not used the tabs much 'til recently (old habits die hard!). Also have the 3D extension mentioned by Chasbo. Only use IE7 when needed, but also have the IE extension in FF.
