VERY nice Threi !! Love that wallpaper !!

Troll Thumping Day would not have been nearly as dangerous to everyone's health as this !!
FastStone Capture has worked well for me - does selected shots of parts of the screen or full-screen, then it dumps the shot into a clipboard so you can save it where you want it. WWW Link
Let me check....wait....yup, this is me. Mark from Toronto. Wanna-be skinner, love admiring the artists work, and I am inspired to try a bit of my own! Real people and their stories are more interesting anyway!
Thanks Bichur....I knew it would be some (stooopid) little thing that I'd overlooked! (kept looking in OD for the answer!)
I read the tutorial from the link above, and it talks about when you hide the taskbar, the open application window moves down to cover that space - but I'm having the opposite problem. I want my application window to cover that space, but it does not . Should it do that automatically? And can I make it do it since it isn't doing it on it's own??
As close as I can come.... https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=39&search=gear https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=29&search=gear&p=2
My name is Mark, I'm 46, and I live Toronto, Canada (yes, it's winter and yes, it's cold out there!!). I work in the golf business (and yes, we are not really very busy in the winter! ), and I run marathons (or further) for fun! I'm pretty much a User - I figure I don't do much WITH my computer, I mostly do things TO my computer. I didn't use computers much 'til a few years ago, and never used one at
It is only a couple images/posters (not a photograph), but try Michael Bedard's "Sitting Duck" (google "sitting duck"). There are a couple versions. One of my long time chuckles.
Hello Frogboy....sorry it took soooo long to get here - I was busy replying to you on another post!
Andrew arcturus13 I'm not quite sure what you were trying to convey by replying with the text from some else's article... All the text of my reply was my own. Only the title of the other post was put forth. I believed the information in that post was similar enough to the problems being reported on this post that I wanted to make sure t
That does seem to be how the situation usually happens. For myself, the usual page loading is fast! It is just that once in a while where it "bogs" down, then it zips right along again - IE stills slows down, too, just not as much as FF. The new site does generally seem quite a bit faster than the old. I read into this that what you describe is the the "norm", the way to expect the site to react? If that is the case, I've got no problem with that! I just like knowing what to expect,
It seems like this thread should be linked to: WinCustomize Loading by Peter Gambino It has been running at the same time as this one, and is mostly discussing site loading problems (similar in some ways to the conversation above), usually being associated with the use of Firefox. Frogboy was on that thread and seemed to think it might be a database problem. I keep wondering if it is the site and things they are still working on, or if there are some sort of basic/standa
So Jafo.... You've hung around here long enough , would you think maybe our FF settings are to blame, and what would they need to be set at? Anybody have any other ideas? It doesn't seem to be internet or computer problems when we all seem to get good loading much of the time, but then at certain times it "hangs". Frogboy seemed to be indicating it might be the site itself?
....last entry 'til someone asks for more info.... Just whipped around site using IE, no delays (of more than a couple seconds or so). Then did the same for FF - generally split second, but about 35 seconds to bring up a misc. icon, and about 25 seconds to bring up the "forums" from the main title bar (but then moving around the forums was fine).
As I said in the reply to the other post I just mentioned, I'm not past accepting that it might just be FF settings or such, but it seems not there are more than a few of us who need to figure that out, if it's the case!
Got the boss on the problem! It seems to happen all the time.....sorry, more correctly, at any time. I use to attribute it to busy weekend traffic, etc., but I don't think that's it. Right after I posted the above reply I went to "my Page", looking at "my replies" and opened up a few of those past posts. A couple were instantaneous, then I got one that "hung" for a while (30-40 seconds?). Sometimes the loading progess bar does not even come up on the screen, or it shows up but empty
I've got the same problem here, and left a similar question on another post. In that post there seemed to be indications that some people may experience problems using Firefox (which I do use). As described above, I get a couple pages loading great, then get a page that just sits for seconds, even up to a minute, with no progress in the loading bar indicator. I often give up on that page and and try something else. There was a mention somewhere (another thread, I think concerning bugs
Thanks for the generous compliment Skinhit.....I enjoy just sitting back to admire the amazing work, and try to pickup something from all the experts!! Speaking of which....I didn't see yours!!!
"/> I like things clean, plus I'm relatively new so still getting a handle on all the "toys".
I find the site "hangs" quite a bit using Firefox. When opening new pages (forums, skins...) most times it is OK, but often the loading bar graphic pops up, sometimes shows progress/sometimes not, and then hangs for seconds, even a minute or so. I clear all personal data (cache, etc.) regularly, but does not seem to be consistent results. When I use the site in IE it seems faster over all, and more consistent between different pages/parts of the overall site. Is this a settings issue
I totally agree! I have hung around WC for a year or more, but only recently have started entering the forums after reading them for so long. I was one of the people getting help, for logons, from Boss0190 and Bichur. It ended up just needing a re-install of Logonstudio, but Boss spent 2 hours patiently trying different things with me. He even spent time a couple weeks ago explaining to me how to "rip" one of his logons for private use! And, it seems wherever I look in the
OH, YEAH!!
Even before these problems it has never asked do I want to open it with LS, nor has it ever gone straight into the active list or preview window. I think I have always done the folder "thing" when it dumped it into a "temp" folder. Pause Un-installed, installed LS Downloaded Onewayout.logonxp......%&@*!!, IT WENT STRAIGHT TO THE ACTIVE LIST AND SHOWS IN THE PREVIEW!! (Friggin' beauty!!) Wait ARRRGGGHHHH!! JUST DID THE SAME FREAKIN' THING WITH F
Maybe...
