- With respect to making fair trades easier to figure out, another method to suggest would be that used in that "other" Civ game, dialog options for 'what do you want for XXX?' and 'what would you give me for YYY?'. The color feedback makes it easy right now if you're just trading for money, but often I have to sit and permute a whole lot of technology combinations to find a tech trade that works. Very good point, I think more informa

Let's get this sticked....very well put together. Be nice if we could comple this into a maintaned list to make it easier for us to prevent redundancy and easier to follow. - On the tiny ship body, second type - the front left hardpoint is backwards Made the same mistake. What race? Truth be told more than one and most often the tiny ships. Noticed one on the back of a cargo...ALT race I think. Fairly easy to check up on in Battle of the Gods gametype. -

12*12*24*24=82944 15*15*16*16=57600 I think that sector count is right. So GC1 was 1.44 larger. BUT there is essentially less dead space. And the game is far more dynamic. I'm willing to bet on the same settings GCII will take much longer to play a Gigantic game.

No really I don't. So far reasearching what you want seems to be ok. IE I wanted to go defensive and high trade / diplomacy. I had to look through the tree to see how to do that and it worked....never had to fight a battle. In fact I finally saw a build up of forces with one of my suedo friends...started major production on very heavy defensive ships and the same round I made 5 of them i was notified I was going to win culturally in 10rou

Aye I've played GCI for a bit and was OK. Playing this on normal I won a 3 race small map without any fighting for the first real game I played. Cultural victory...no-one conceded planets no-one fought....just trading and a few influence battles with starbases. I did better than I thought. Long story short, I'm nearly clueless as to what I was doing. At the end of the game I had full info on all races so I took a look around

Current issues I have. Middle click for rotation not consistant. Rotation reverses. I prefer ship customization rotation...move mouse left ship moves left. But in the game rotating ships in preview windows (ie enemy ships) goes the reverse way. Upgrading sticky...hard to explain and duplicate. Somtimes when I chose a custom design and choose upgrade in the ship designing, the old/current ship comes up. I choose to remove an e

Agree way too early for a good review. I'm not going to be up to snuff to take a look at the AI at all which I am most excited about. The tech tree has me boggled....just because I know how I want to play but I don't know exactly how to progress diplomaticly /defensively without leaving basic improvements behind. Once I get a feel for the pacing for planetary advancement, exploration, and military progression I'll be able to make a pref strategy. So far love it love it but here are

Yeah I love it too...but man it sucks soooooooo much time Almost a complaint about how much time it takes to design a ship...it's that much fun. Some of the hulls are 90% hardpoints...but as difficult as it is to finalize a design it is still fun.

Ok got an idea.... SDock installs to directory...save the directory but move everything out.......move the old and more complete stuff in from the external then re-move the downloaded up to date stuff over top and replace anything old....this might suck but going to try.

Bear with me. Ok I installed the game on my laptop at home where I have a fast cable connection. It's on an external HD. I then took my HD up to my cottage where I have my pc and a very slow and unreliable 56k connection. I figured it would be a fine connection for downloading the updates...but I screwed up. I didn't realise I would have to archive the game because Stardock on my PC does not know that I now have GCII moved from th

BAM! It might be just me but there is something satisfying seeing the weapon shot coming out of the weapon module that I placed when I designed the ship. The screenshots don't do it justice. This was one of my favorite parts of the Homeworld games. Loved getting up close and personal in the battles

I fired up Diablo 2. Lol downloading Lord of Dest. As we speak. Tried playing DII sans expansion....not having it. (PS own LOD just missing CD, thankfully still have case with key which i think I need to update it) Meanwhile SOFII (damn mods), WoW, and my favorite bloodl

Looks like an old EXE with the new data. I'd wait 'till tuesday to play the game, honestly. You'll get the newest code and wont get weirdo errors like the one above Or they'll say something like that. I mean seriously you thought it would work?
