Maybe make the size of sensors larger on cargo hulls?

I second normal getting a tweek up. I found going from normal to challenging a severe wake-up call.
Custom races... String not found errors on deleting 'autosaved' custom races. Bonuses from??? All of my loaded custom races have military and social prod +10%....leading to -2 total points in the abilities customisation... Also loading a premade race and customizing their abilities can lead to unusual results. Some abilities are lost/changed. Initially makes sense because the set races cheat...have more points than c
Challenging - all bright Custom Economics 30% +20 federal Pop growth +70% Terran Korx Arcea Iconians Dark Yor Jessens Galaxy settings all green (cept think research on very slow by accident) Well this game taught me quite a bit. Mainly minor races are a threat and you really can have allies. Fun fun game. My goal was for anything but conquest. Brief summary - I d
Oh ok, must be with patch. Before even if another ship had spotted one my survey ship wouldn't go. AI planet knowledge cheat: Myth Busted
I tend to see this as a cheat as well. Not a huge one, but especially when you are at war and they aren't trading anything. "You've taken our capital! BTW did you know we know how to make Harpoons? No you can't have them just thought you'd like to know." I mean I wish there was a way for the AI to control what you see...but on the flip side does the AI take notice of what it sees when it talks to you?
Well, this suppose that the AI works the same way if with FOW lifted for the player or not. If there is a bug, it could be that without CTRL+U, the map is revealed to the AI and with CTRL+U, the FOW is enable for the AI. That would explain different behaviors experienced by various posters Eh, highly
Well the cheat sure helps...no no planet finding cheating to be seen in several maps. In fact a few errors. A couple of times would head for the same target. Most of the time they'd then split for new different ones but one time they were heading for a star in the corner of the map ( no habital there) one was about 4 pc ahead of the other. So the second scout's trip was wasted. Also it was funny when a scout was headed for an isolated star just w
I would consider this as strong evidence that the AI has access to information it shouldn't. Does the 'IsColonyColonized' function just check directly, or does it check to see if the AI should KNOW the planet is colonized? I wouldn't consider it strong evidence. You have to test before you clai
Just so you know, there is a toggle above your minimap that turns anomaly display on/off. When turned on, you are able to see all anomalies, explored or not, currently on the map. When you tell a ship to auto-survey, it will make a bee-line for the nearest, and continue around the map. It is intended. Weir

Hmm...looks like I took it out, but I don't remember why. I'll add it to my list of stuff. My guess is because the star doesn't belong to you like the planets do. What happens to the names of the planets for which the AI has taken over and 'named'. They'd be the name of the old star I would assum
Yeah I would think the larger the map the less frequent the trades so the problem wouldn't be as apparent. I play with 4 bright races on a small map and midrange settings for planets etc. I find when I finally meet everyone about 20 weeks into the game they all have very similar techs and about 3x what I have. And have usually 3 defenders and constructors on the move. I usually have on average one more planet and the same economy rating and population. I usually fill the planets
Citizen The Wicked Flea and I have been hacking at it and SDock has taken notice. They likely will be all fixed in due time.
I find (if I understand certain aspects of the game) that tradin trade goods and techs for cash and techs is a safe bet. They almost never (never in my experience) are able to use these techs against you. Which to me seems not quite right, but having a hard time breaking even on a 5 player 'challenging' game so I take what I can get.
I 3rd....much like Civ. I have been caught off guard by a transpor that may have just spent 2 or 3 sqrs in my sensors but I didn't notice. An advantage of the furthest zoom of course but still. Would I think need some sort of smart filter. I really don't need to watch the mini trade ships and possible other filters but can't think of.
3rd ehh... I think that means more than it first appears...I mean look at the other titles and you can pretty much figure out why they are there. But this game...what is the draw, really. GC1 is about the only ad I've really seen and at the core this is the same game. I was surprised at the somewhat early coverage @ IGN. Seems someone took a personal interest. But otherwise I don't see how it came about, but I'm impressed and pleased.
Yes, it gets very tiring to go all over the ships in game looking for these problems, and it didn't help that I started at 5am either (on a poor night's sleep. Curse Insomnia!). However, I don't think the problems should have been there in the first place. I am surprised that nothing came up in the betas on this, and I'm sure wi
Plan your tile placements out ahead of time, and leave one or two open for a galactic or civilization wonder. You'll get more later on as you develop terraforming improvements. I'm pretty sure it's best to fill everything. Because whatever you build there seems to count towards whatever you replace i
Yeah I've found out that trying to be peaceful will get you wasted. You can be PASSIVE but you need the beezalls to back it up. Too many times I thought I could pass on the military advances to be then pounced on by the AI.
@Citizen The Wicked Flea : Didn't see you had you had screens. I went through your screens and my list and knocked out the ones you covered. Maybe you can spot these and add it to your screenshots. PS must have gotten tired you skipped Terran Huge2 and called 3->2 I feel your pain, trust me I do. Drengin Large2 -2 on lower half of right rear 'pontoon' Hu
Non-symetrical part will not mirror on a ship. However warp drives are all as far as I know symetrical and therefore should appear the same on either side of the ship. You may be seeing the result of a defective hardpoint. Link That's the list I have compiled of all bad hardpoints I could find. They apparently will be making changes this weekend to fix
I have posted a compiled list of all hardpoint mistake I could find on all the ships.
