I don't want to see the UP become too complicated though. Simple changes will probably take quite a bit of time to impliment but I can wait since the UP currently doesn't cause any damage to the game. It's just as is if it were completely removed I doubt it would change many people's games. But I DAMN well don't want it removed But that's not goi

Useless no, BUT in the game I really don't usually need to pay attention to 70% of the elections which makes it a game flow breaker most of the time. I haven't even looked at finding out what the elections will be on ahead of time. I would say in the game I have played and payed attention to there has only ever been once where I saw that if I had known about the election earlier that I would have worked to change the results ahead of time
I think that about solidifies the arguement. I also agree LintMan is spot on. A reason why good AI is best for arcade style fighting games, which is very very rare.
I've tested this as well and I've never saw a colony ship go anywhere the scouts or survey ship had not been by.
I knew exactly what this post was about by the title.
Enemy found corvettes. I had 3 rangers which were my weakest ships at the time (mainly because of weapon type). Apparently corvettes come in large bundles because they sent wave after wave at me, they must be the lowest precursor you can get because one ranger made meat out of them and didn't get much XP.
Think you are all missing his point. It has them listed in the ship details, but in the quick indicator on the info bar only shows the mass driver and armor. It might be part of the jewelry but, I don't look at ships to see what they have...I prefer the summary. So yeah the ship details list weapons that aren't used. Possibly they are all the same ships and random ones have different weapons disabled.
The secret is out. GCII art was done on MSpaint.
12. Um, I can't for the life of me get this to appear in the bug category.
Who's to say boarding is even reasonalbe in this game world. Might be hundreds of reasons why it's not possible or effective. I too thought it would be nice to be able to take out the transport in a fleet (the only real threat to a world). But yeah who's to say the transport is even really there. Yea it's on the screen but game world wise it could just be your fleet running it down after the defenders have been removed. There i
This looks great! If we now only could (yes, I know, I'm never content! ) choose where the attachment point of the part we are placing is it would be a major breakthrough. I mean, when you place a part, you always glue it to the ship at the same point. What if I would like to have that engine up side down? Rotating it around the x-axis would place it inside the ship or s
Now for another story. Have Diablo II and expansion but...I lost? the expansion disk. I know I had it installed on my other machine so it SHOULD be at that house. Well i have the case (and thankfully the key) but no cd. Bought a used DII don't feel like getting the exp again...well getting a copy is a pain wish I had made one myself. OR that I had an account where I could download the game I bought <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
Multiplayer "anything" is more fun 99% of the time. There just is no question about it. It's just WHO and how many as the question vs. time it takes to implement. I'm glad they didn't feel obligated, but I have a feeling it's comming. I know I will never play it but I feel for those who want it badly.
Bump on this. Not 100% sure if these are 'bugs' in the AI or not. I did some experimentation and I'm pretty darn sure that you can't take over a minor via influence...I had two major races in the same system flip for me and the minor didn't budge and I laced the area with influence starbases.... I assume influnce you BUY from a minor race helps you but would like a know-how answer. Minor races do attack...I have foun
Or you didn't KNOW them yet?
I didn't think this happened on normal but if the planets you took over had open 'land' he probably trashed his production when he knew it was over for a planet. They do do that.
Yeah sure make it so the 'face' side always faces the earth and has the right size and distance and speed relative to the rotation of the Earth which I noticed doesn't tilt and my guess is a perfect sphere and has no shadow when the moon passes between it and the Sun... I think someone needs to spend more time sorting their MP3's.
There is no ship combat, still. Moo 2 had a very very simple screen but it was like chess. You used your ships strateigcally and it could make a huge difference to a battle. The video of the ship fight is completely lame, dare I say it iunfuriating. I cannot imagine anybody playing the game with it on more than once. 0/10 for thi
Looks like a if A A = Uber when it should be B = Uber. Prolly easy programming mistake to make.
For me it was easy...they kept giving me military crud and cash. They initiated the alliance. With the Arceans. I stayed neutral and build up a military...I had 0 trade with them but they had quite a bit with me. It was odd to have an AI player start up a friendship and be so generous and finally form an alliance and helped blast the Terrans. I was waiting for the catch and there was none. It just seems kind of touchy feely for getting
Civs are always at war with the pirates even when there are none. It would be nice if this only showed up when they were actually at war with pirates.
SHIPS LIST: -Possibly a fleet filter of sorts - fleets only, single ships only, fleets and single ships (that excludes ships in fleets), orbiting ships. *Hard to explain but when I use this menu I'm either looking for an idea of my total strength, ships that are fleetless, or my most experienced ship. There is no circumstance I find helpful for my fleeted ships to be listed in addition to the fleet they are in. I might be looking for a particular ship...but
somewhat viable Now how would you what is viable in this game world. How is it not possible that it would be impossible to board another craft because it, by some means, is extremely easy to avoid any form of forced docking? Damn you George Lucas....damn you.
So say an upgrade should be 20 turns for the project you WANT there but you instead pick something faster then switch back?
I leave one colony ship byevery 'poor' planet when I can afford to. Wait till the AI will get there one th enext turn then nab it. Just a little game of evil I like to play.
