To get an accurate sample on who really wants multiplayer, Stardock would have to have a poll at GameSpot or some other big gaming website. Fact is, most of the people that come here are more for the single player game (just looking at the posts it's obvious). Besides, only HARDCORE gamers do multiplayer. I would be surprised if a large number of casual gamers were into multiplayer. I could be wrong, but I just don't see most casuals going that route.

In one of my recent games the Altarians won a technological victory. So it does, indeed, research them. Of course, at higher difficulty levels the AI's priorities could be different.

I started and completed a game today in one sitting, on Normal difficulty (I haven't had the chance to really play the game until recently again, gotta brush up). Anyway... I have a similar issue to this. I've updated everything via SDC yesterday only to find that I need to crank up the volume to get some sound (like buttons being clicked) and crank it even further to get the music. Any ideas?

OK, I've been able to play GC2 without problems until the last few days. I know my video drivers are out of date since nVidia just released new drivers last week I believe, but I have been playing this game since its release with the 81.98 drivers with no problems. For me, the last few games I played it seemed that the smaller galaxies gave me several Lucky Rangers while the larger galaxie gave me just one or two or none at all. Gotta play with SOME luck ya know.

What? Minor Civ Ally wants Peace with me? in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I was Allied with about 5 Minor Civs in a game I just lost, but 2 times the Scottinglas (sp?) came to me wanting Peace. Of course, since I was in dire need of money and tech, I took as much as I could each time. But how is this possible? How can an Ally come to me and want Peace?

I'm playing on Normal now and every AI has a near 100% identical list of techs and far more techs than me. I just can't pluck out of thin air 20 techs I want and immediately have them, which certainly seems like how the AI is doing it. I am investing heavily into research, but I might have to change that and crank up the spending for my military, since I'm being attacked by superior AI ships. I've played this game for about 3 hours and it'
