So I wanted to play some Twilight and when I opened it, it opened in window mode and once the menu came up, the buttons did not work at all. I have the newest update and the game worked fine after that. Something happened since I last played. I have never opted to play in window mode on any game so this is a little strange. Any ideas on what to do? Do I need to uninstall and then reinstall?
@Empire Earth III. None of the sites have reviewed it yet, not even Gamespot and it's been released for about eight days now. Whats going on?!
The game must suck then. It's almost a given now that a if a game does not have a review up the same day it is released or within a day or two, it sucks and is going to receive a bad score. I haven't bought ST Legacy yet because of the bad reviews. I think it's $20 now though, so it may be worthy of picking up for that price.

In order for political borders to work in this game, the devs would have to put in something like light years. One of the things they touted when GC2 came out was that anyone could colonize a system at any time, as long as there were planets available to be colonized. This addition would change that back to what it was in GC1, where you colonize a system and lay claim to it, something I am in favor of. If I colonize a system I don't want to be force to colonize all available worlds at once an

I like Evil Muppet's mega event suggestion, which I will expand on. For another, how about reviving all of the races that have been previously wiped out (maybe through some kind of time travel event). Give them each one of the class 0 worlds (which of course have been upgraded to class 26). - Or, perhaps alternatively, use a spare civilization slot to spawn a custom opponent from the player's collection. Give them a small empire by upgrading all of the class

Frogboy, you point is moot. You do have copy protection. I have a legit copy of both games, but since my PC will never be connected to the net, I am unable to update my game with the newest patch. Looks like copy protection to me. When you dictate to me how I should use my hardware, you aren't any better than they are. I'm surprised your computer doesn't connect to the Internet. Are you posting from work? Another computer in your house that IS

With the arrival of Dark Avatar, we now have the ability to create custom races in the game. So my question is, instead of replacing races in the RaceConfig.xml file like we had to do with Dread Lords, can we include these custom race files with our mods? Of course, instructions on where to place them would need to be included for them to work. I ask because several months back I was working on a Transformers mod, however, I never managed to complete it (Drengin created a TF mod as we

Agian, because of the way the game randomly generates the habitable worlds, there's no way to define what they will look like, but they will still have the same set of varied raw terrain generated by the game (which is enhanced in DA). However, they will take advantage of the new high resolution cloud textures and city light textures of the mod, as well as the new

When you choose Neutral as your ethical alignment, all terraforming tiles are to become available on all your worlds, however, they do not. I just finished a quick game and I had to research all the terraforming techs in order to use every available tile. If this has already been covered I apologize, I haven't been able to play until recently and haven't kept up with this forum.

IGN has reviewed Legacy and gave it a 5.9. The game is obviously made around the Xbox 360 controls, so that version should do better (one would think anyway.)

I think they didnt get a lot of ships cause usually from what i have seen in the campaign their ships tend to do a lot of damage... i mean A LOT of damage. You're correct. Dread Lord ships dish out A LOT of damage.

In one of my recent games, the Dread Lords showed up, shortly after I get hit with the plague. Since I only had 3 planets under my control because of the settings I used, it took me nearly a year to research the cure. I had Aphrodisac (sp?) in one so my population level was higher than the other races but it was still taking a hit. I was losing so much money and I couldn't raise taxes or there would be revolutions happening. In that game, the mega event was a true mega event. It crippled me

The planetary Governor's need a major overhaul. I want to be able to turn off auto-upgrading for specific things like farms for instance. The planetary Governor's is a great addition to the game but right now it is too weak, especially when you have hundreds of planets. Micro-managing is great, but there needs to be a way of doing it in a much easier way than it currently is implemented.

I've made it a point to avoid EA games as much as possible. In fact, I don't think I've bought an EA game in years. If everyone did that then maybe EA WOULD get a clue and actually make a product that didn't suck. But that is just wishful thinking.

I mentioned this a long time ago, but I'll go ahead again. How about giving us the option to choose what we want our title to be (ie, Emperor, President, etc.)? As you progress through the government types, you should not be called an Emperor when you're a Federation. Emperor is a dictatorship and since there is a Senate and people vote, your title should change as you switch government types. Also, including a list of titles to choose from would be nice as well.

This is awesome. MORE new features being added. I read at Gamespot that a Gold Edition of the game will be out in Feb 07. I guess the question is: Will the expansion pack be in stores next year as well or will the only way to get the expansion be via online from Stardock? New Screenshots at Gamespot These are awesome!
