Hmm. Well, I do agree it looks very, very cool, but I'm running Opera 8.5.1 and there's a couple quirks. For one when I'm not logged in there's just two input areas with no labels (though I figured that the left was username and right was password) right above the "send password" and "create account" links. When I am logged in the "Log out" link is invisible. I see "Welcome, Citizen Jeysie", and there's a small spot just to the right of my username that yields th

OK, seems like I have to raise up the bar, how about 12 Drengins beer, 11 Altarians burgers... We also will include 10 Torians female dancers. I'm s
I too was in awe of Mr. Wardell's typing speed... I can only do 50WPM at best. At any rate, can I put in my vote for that "art book" idea that was mentioned? Or at least some "alien art" that has limbs? Peace & Luv, Liz
Hey Jeysie, nice to see another one. I'm impressed you managed to narrow down your list to just two characters, though--I don't know that I could do the same! There's so many to choose from: Hari, Dors, Salvor Hardin, Hober Mallow, Stor Gendibal, Preem Palver, Raych, Wanda, Janov Pelorat, even good old Emperor Cleon.....and of c
1. Sleep is always good. 2. Playing through some of the pre-load files. 3. Working on finishing up roleplaying-related projects so my group doesn't hurt me for being behind come Friday. 4. Finally getting around to playing the Altarian Prophecy campaign. 5. Brainstorming Empire ideas. (Not that I have time to do the ideas any justice.) 6. Chores. Bleh. Peace & Luv, Liz
I'm also a Foundation fan, if it helps any. Hari Seldon was my favorite character, along with Arkady in Second Foundation. Anyhoo... The Babylon 5 idea is also very cool, but I've been tempted by Wing Commander personally. Maybe a triad between the Confederation, Border Worlds, and the Kilrathi... with Hellcats and Banshees and Dralthis, oh my... Peace & Luv, Liz
I have two things to say: 1. This was a lot of fun to read, especially the way you turn it into a whole story narrative and everything. More, please? 2. I nearly keeled over laughing at "May your body odor become a musk for the opposite sex of your kind." Peace & Luv, Liz
OS: WinXP Home SP2 Server: Chicago Purchase Method: Non-Beta pre-order through Stardock Sales Connection Type: DSL SDCVersion: 2.29a 374 build 117 The "main" module went at about 80kb/s, but the other three modules were about 180kb/s. Took about 2 hours, all told. No problems at all. BTW, I like the fact that when I logged in my Stardock account into SDC it made the temp serial number for the game pre-entered. Sweet! (Especially since I have to download/
Add me to the whole "hard g vs. soft g" mixup. No wonder the Drengin hated the humans... half the population was probably pronouncing their race name wrong! But yes, more videos, please! (Incidentally, you have a cool voice, Mr. Wardell. Makes me remember the times of hanging out with my Michigan-accented relatives.)<b
I haven't gotten to download the GC2 final manual yet, but I remember in the GC1 manual, in addition to the funny PQ number explanations, I laughed like mad at the "Pop Growth" descriptors in the "Race Customization" area... Frisky (+10%) Very Frisky (+20%) Fruitful (+40%) Don't Ask (+80%) Being one of those freaks of nature that always reads the
I just want to say that I'm really glad that you folks decided to concentrate on the single-player game first. I think I'm probably the only gamer in existance who pretty much never plays multiplayer... I like being able to go through a game at my own pace, style, and (usually pitiful) skill level without having to worry about somebody else kicking my butt so much I can never get anywhere. As such, I always get disappointed whenever I hear a
I've been thinking I'd love to read the "full-blown novels" these ideas were originally intended for ever since I first read the various related documents in the GalCiv site encyclopedia... and now that we've gotten to see even more of the story here I'd even MORE love to read those novels. No pressure, or anything. The main thing that hooked me onto GalGiv1 was the fun and interesting a
