Impressive Although the most interesting thing for me was the Impulse Builder thing in the last part, I'm really waiting to see how that works in the future.
Hmm, my only worry with the impulse builder is that I'll have to sift through 500 pounds of crap to find one ounce of gold.

.....So the arguement is "it's not as fun since all the races look human regardless of other differentiating factors"? Seriously??
Banned for messing up my damn ban.
Banned for having an avatar that looks like it was made in mspaint.
As far as I know, Stardock hasn't "bought" any developers ever. They publish games by/with developers, but they don't actually own any outside developers.
pretty much anything in the name of multiplayer 'balance' could seriously disappoint. Aye, in the hands of the competitive RTS gamer, that word 'balance' can become a fearsome mace. Especially in the cold, turn-based netherworld of the developers forum, where it deals +1 pride damage to all opposing win/loss ratios.
Don't mock balance just because you don't understand it's importance. Even if your
To each his own I guess. I always associated grinding with doing any kind of fighting outside of the main quest, regardless of the difficulty. In the more negative sense, I would associate it with any type of boring fighting, but once again, this is regardless of difficulty.
I think the biggest reason against this game appearing on steam is the fact that you have to have steam running no matter where you bought the game. I'm pretty sure SD is trying to stay away from that model.
How do you differentiate a surrender from a D/C? Can you only surrender after a certain time period, or have be losing by X amount? My point being that a leaver is going to take the easiest way out (surrendering as opposed D/Cing assuming D/Cing is punished) unless there are limitations.
Hmmm, it's great, but between objectdock and impluse dock (or whatever it's called). My desktop is already nice and tidy :/
Does it happen in a pure AI match? Likely there is a slow player joining and lagging everyone if not.
Yeah, whether it's AI or human, the problem is the same when I host.
I tried to phrase my question as neutrally as possible in order to aid discussion and increase odds of a designer response - but I really should just go ahead and say that your response mirrors the concern that prompted my question. That isn't the same as saying I want leaders to define the value of a given combat unit or group of units.
Well, if leadership is just a stat bonus, this merely comes down
Ok basically, it's similar to an old supcom bug where the game would pause every 10-15 seconds for 2-3 seconds. I updated my video card drivers and it still happened. Strange enough, it only happens when I host. No clue what's going on. Here's specs: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 3/18/2009, 18:07:59 Machine name: THEBOX &
Well, I'm gonna create a new topic then since I seem to have a different problem.
Every 15 seconds or so from the point I host/join a custom game. Weird since before then, there's no problem at all. I'll post my specs when I get home, but I assumed from the OP that this was something experienced before (but not by me). Sorry. Oh, and I already updated my video card drivers.
So actually, it seems there's some confusion (at least for me) between the 1 millionth "customer" and 1 millionth "user". Where I can be a customer everytime I buy something, I can only become a user once. Which is it?
work/life balance That's easy. 84 hours at work, 84 hours at home per week. See? Perfect balance!
And if you waste some of your home time sleeping, that's your own fault. It just needs you need to balance your personal life better :P
I'm experiencing the freezes as well since 3D.
I'm not sure about the free version. Though it was technically legal at one point, now that GOG has it (which is completely legal) I don't know what the legality of the free version is. So to answer the question, yes the GOG version is the full version and is legal.
Hmmm, I agree with all this, but aren't you preaching to the choir by putting it here? This should go back onto edge online, or at least somewhere where more than just stardock fans/users will see it.
