No I don't override the WB fonts. The font size is set to normal. Neither of these should matter, windowblinds should be able to get around this. I have not found Windowblinds to be reliable. I have already un-installed this program awhile back because of issues like this. I then (after some time went by) decided to try it again and still have issues like this. Right now I still have it installed but am not using it.

This is happening with all my WB skins. Text to the right is cut off and no matter what size I adjust the text to, the box size also changes to keep the same text knocked off the right side. This happens on anything I right click on. If I unload WB and go back to Windows XP style, this displays the way it's supposed to. Example: Same shot unloading WB and using stock Windows XP style: <img src="http://img13

Thank you, that did it (ended up going to -122). Here's another. This is happening with all my WB skins. It won't let me go to a negative number. Zero is it.
Just noticed this. When I open the Start menu. Notice where it say programs. What's up with that?
I did it. You guys are way too cool! Man, everytime I open SkinStudio, I have a bottle of aspirin right next to me cause I know I'm going to get a headache trying to figure out whatever I'm trying to do.
Here it is again. If I point the mouse in the black box (and keep it there), an entry will show until I move the mouse away, then it's just black (with the icons showing).
Hot tracking. Got it! Changed it to a different shade so I could see the black text better. One down, one to go. Just downloaded Big Sur, it has no image assigned for group menu, select one of the other menu images for it and then play with the size margins for it to get the right look. How is changing margin size going to chan
The second one is Aura. I have my single mouse click as my Windows preferences. When pointing the mouse to a folder, the background is blue. Moving the mouse away then results in background being grey. Directions on first link. I already tried that, it's where I thought the setting would be. Here is what shows. Nothing there shows black (Big Sir skin).
I think you read the first post while I was still fumbling around editing it trying to get the images to post instead of just links. It all works now if want to read it again. Sorry bout that.
I have WB 5.1 and Skin Studio (standard). I have no interest in creating skins from scratch but a lot of interest in editing skins I download to use. SkinStudio is very hard for me to figure out where to go to edit certain things. For example: Link 1 This is one having some grouped folders in taskbar and when clicking on the group to see what's there, I get what's in the picture (black box where
I went ahead to the options here and just changed my email address to match the one I used when I bought WB and SS. Now I should be all set.
I am trying to adjust one skin I like (lignite) in skin studio. When trying to adjust text, the one I always have a hard time with is finding where to adjust the text and color in IE Favorites. My situation is the text in IE Favorites is black. When scrolling down among the entries a brown bar covers the text but the text becomes invisible. The IE Favorites list is the only place it does this. This is a entry in Skin Studio under "Control - Menus - Favorites Background and Favo

Dunno how the hell that happened. Ok, I'll give it a try. BRB
How can I have mixed trial versions? I got the link for the enhanced version straight from an email from Stardock. Installed that download and put in my code. I never have installed any trial versions.

Dunno what's up. I had WindowBlinds 5 installed awhile back (paid) and for the most part it displayed correctly. Even though I used it, I had mixed impressions of it because I never did find ANY skin (and I tried lots) that worked as well as stock Windows XP. Stuff like wrong text at the wrong time, wrong text color with certain backgrounds. Text either too big or too small for the situation, etc. I also had SkinStudio (standard) and found it cumbersome and not layed out in a way where you knew
It does this on every single WindowBlinds skin. I'm referring to opening a box (any box). Some of the text is cut off. No matter what size I change the text size to, the box also changes so the same bit of text is off the box. If I unload WindowBlinds and go back to xp style, it works as normal.
I have a couple of issues that are driving me nuts. I am not interested in making skins, I just want to edit existing ones to my taste. Mainly changing text sizes and colors. How do you change the text size in Internet Explorer buttons? I'm talking about the "File", "Edit", "View", "Favorites", etc. I can change text size for some things but not those. Another question. When I click "all programs", the box to the right is not wide enough for all the text. I can adjust text size
I know about that. But I don't want WindowBlinds loading at all when I'm doing the repair. How do I turn it off and not have it come back on with reboot? I know I can click on "unload windowblinds" but it's just going to come back on at reboot. I want it off completely and then manually turn it on again after the repair. Is there no option to not have windowblinds autostart with windows?
I am planning on doing a windows repair. I don't want to uninstall Windowblinds but don't want to have it running through this process (and with all the reboots from installing drivers). I don't see any option to turn it off (not un-install) and not have it start back up with a reboot. Am I missing something? How is this done?
As stated earlier, for me it's all about functionality, something I can use on a daily basis that looks good and doesn't have errors in it. Like windows that don't fill the fullscreen, text that is not readable on some programs (wrong color text on wrong color background), button errors, text sizing issues, and them dam transparent windows! I hate those things, completely non-functional to me having text over text. What's the point of having a thousand
I'll be damned. You're right again. Re-downloaded and installed. The maximized to the edge was still short (but I can easily fix that now), but now the close button works in a normal window. Wow, that's weird. Thanks again dude!
