I was playing on the New Paradise Map at hard AI difficulty. Fighting from behind, the issue was reaching a decisive pioint until I put a land transport filled with a battle robot and a LAV in range of a trio of bombers. The only save game I have is the recruitment phase after my moves. When I complete the recruitment and end the phase, the AI takes a little longer than usual to calculate the turn, then goes through it's motions, but when it sends the bomber to attack the tr

For a long duration game such as CivGal2 (or Stars!) or a similar strategy game, it's too much of a chore to organize everyone to be consistently online IMHO. I've played a couple games of Stars on pbem. And while it is difficult to get a good game together, good games are pretty memorable. Galciv II would be a great PBEM game, I wo
1. Will do 2. I'm not very keen on playing betas, especially with a bunch of crash bugs reported. 3. Perhaps, but things such as the ship design carryover problems, I think should be reported.
Forgive if these have been posted already 1. Econ starbases don't give research bonuses (according to details). 2. When I was going into the full tech scenario and checking out the different race hulls, all my previous designs (with a human player with human hulls) showed up really screwed up, mostly with wacked out stacks of items and some not even showing at all. Please have it that previous designs only show up IF you're usi
Meh, I'm in no hurry, I'm playing on a huge map and don't want to change the AI until that game is done.
As someone who generally liked Moo3, try some of teh new user created mods in the forums (the vinilla, strawberry, and tropical mods). Moo3 did bring some interesting ideas to the table, ideas worth revisiting, they just could have been executed better.
Torians, bah, NUKE EM! Avenge the raping of the planet Hawthrone! Pretty much, my first huge game, they were my first advarsaries since we shared borders and were both going after a bunch of rich worlds on the galactic rim. they obviously didn't like me colonizing there and declared war soon after the game started, and capture a lot of unportected planets by transport raids, took forever to beat them back. Hawthorne, w
I have a mixture, I prefer to use large and medium hulls in my battlefleets, while having a couple small and tiny hull fleets around (which my less industrious colonies produce). But I find that the large hulls are far more survivable in a protracted battle.
My selection of Bugs 1. Ships and or fleets move even if I selected another ship/fleet (generally the previous selected fleet). This can be avoided by selecting and deselecting a unit in the current fleet. 2. I was making a complicated ship design (A constructor), named it, saved it once to save my progress, then upgraded it to finish my work, keeping the same name. It asked me if I wanted to overwrite the previous design, and i said yes. Now, I have 2 ships of the sam
If I may add my own suggestions - forgive if I repeat others. 1. I'm playing a game on a huge map on challenging difficulty where only one of the eight AI empires are expanding into other planets, please rectify this. 2. Be able to upgrade ships regardless if they are in a stack or fleet. 3. Be able to Queue ship building in a planet. 4. Show the area of effect of a station when a constructor is selected. 5. To be able to move the mini m
A lot of good ideas, and bug reports here. The things that I emphatized the most was the problem with ship stacks fleets and working with individual ships (like upgradings a ship in a stack/fleet, can't do it easy) And I did notice that AI sending in transports (and constructors) unescorted on a challenging difficulty first campaign mission.
I also got this problem, when I first installed the beam defenses in the first campaign mission, they worked, but a battle or two later, they didn't exist. Plus, I could only research armor in that mission.
This is a great game, I'm really enjoying it. But there is one irritation that I have experienced. AFAIK, you can only singly upgrade and or change the name of the ship if it's on it's own. If it's in a fleet or just a stack of ships, as far as I can tell, there is no way to upgrade them or change their name (which is important if you easily want to see thier class, since I put a class designation in front of the class name). IIRC, it's also difficult for a ship to perform it's func
