Hmm...an update. Thats exciting. I liked the game, but it had so many little flaws. Maybe this can fix them. But yes, there was an upgrade arrow earlier. It was very necessary, since you really wanted all your resists at 100 or so late game in Impossible. Apparently the AI is harder now too, which is the big deal. Previously the AI would just watch you city spam on impossible until you built up an empire 3x the size of anybody else and started mur

It's not really a meta change - top has always been a "whatever" lane, so swapping in an AD Carry instead of something else doesn't really change the meta. The defining characteristic of the meta is the 0 CS/AD carry combo bot, which is still intact.
Have you checked to make sure that your school doesn't packet shape? I got all excited about moving from my family's dialup to my college's broadband years ago, only to find out that my school gave you just about 0 bandwidth for gaming.
Jesus I can't get in a win in ranked. I think that I've lost 16 of 19 now. I was going to carry my bad team today (started 5-1-4 as Trist, team was up a substantial amount)...but then a thunderstorm took out my power for a second, which messed up my connection. By the time I got back, we were too far behind.
Trying to get on now. 50 minute queue
Sweet, only a 3 hour 15 minute wait in queue.
Nevermind. Their registration is down, so I can't sign up for a EU account. EDIT - NM figured it out.
Im downloading still, will be on EU West soon.
We could play some ARAM or something on the euro servers since it looks like NA is hosed. Or is EU down too?
Sigh, 10 minute wait to log in yet again. Good times.
One of the things that we really need to concentrate on is pushing lanes. Please stop doing it so much. Right now we push lanes all the time. This makes you vulnerable to ganks and makes it nearly impossible for me to gank your lane. This is especially problematic in certain matchups. Irelia WANTS to be pushed to tower. She can farm under it with her Q, and she can cause all sorts of problems when her jungler comes for the gank. Against champs like
The problem is that the AI is very very weak so they have a goofy magic system as a crutch. Once you go to the highest 2 difficultly levels, magic is just unfair. Tactics don't matter any more - your positioning is irrelevant. They will either summon minions every single turn behind your defenses to insta gib your ranged units, or they will simply use AOE damage spells, that will insta kill your weak ranged units even if you put the elemental resist spell on them. &nbs
SETI is an outdated money sink pork program, one of a great many. The times are changing. We can't continue to afford spending like this in an unsustainable manner. Sure removing one straw won't appear to effect the haystack but try to look on the bright side. The more we cut, then the more we can redirect to the next generation SETI like program in the future. A former NASA director once said: "If the pub
Also, so? The amount of signal will likely increase even as the amount of noise decreases. What really matters in this case is signal+noise. You seem to be misunderstanding somethings. Directional transmission (and other advances in radio transmission) does not convert signal to noise of vice versa. It decreases the amount of radio waves going into deep space; period. Furthermore, there is no
That specific technique (look for unnaturally high quantity of white noise) is ineffective because white-noise quantity decreases as efficiency of communication improves. I think that I'm pretty much done with this game. It's just not fun any more. Act 1 of Inferno was fine. It was reasonably challenging the first time through, and after some farming it is now very easy. Act 2 is just stupid. It's not fun. Don't get me wrong, I can progress through it. I do enough damage and I've basically gotten through the act. It's just not fun. The "correct" way to build your champ is to go f
Quoting Krazikarl, reply 38These two statements are contradictory because they reference two different techniques. SETI employs multiple techniques. More then just these two.
Yes, which was my point. You discount the ability to detect radio emission because certain types of communication are difficult to differentiate from noise. But that argument isn't compelling if SETI is also using techniques
Quoting Jafo, reply 30Since space is all about the TARDIS ..... declining radio emissions is meaningless as whatever level they WERE at is still dispersing. Actually, it matters because SETI is looking for stars that are emitting a total amount of radio waves that is statistically significantly higher then they should. If you find one you either discovered an alien civilization or a previously unknown astrophysics phenom
I'm now on a 12 game losing streak with Udyr in ranked. I think I've lost 13 of 14 in ranked overall too. Every single time I play Udyr (when we dont have a leaver), we dominate early because I can control the early game from the jungle. Then we lose because my team is stupid. This last game I started 2/0/4 with a successful gank top, 2 successful ganks mid, and 3 successful ganks bot. We still lost because our AD carry decided to be farming the whole game.
Honestly SETI is a waste. Its looking for radio waves transmitted by a civilization at exactly a specific point of radio development (which lasted under 100 years for humanity) while also advertising ourselves to potential hostiles...
I don't understand why you think that radio communication will suddenly go away. If we assume that our current understanding of physics is correct, radio is always going
I've had 3 teams where somebody goes afk before the 10 minutes mark in my last 5 ranked games. The other two games I was playing support and my team was openly incompetent, so they were also 20 minute surrenders. I love playing 5 20 minute losses in a row.
It turns out that Hell isn't that hard of a difficultly level when you have 30k dps. Diablo wasn't even a sweat. I've made it through Skeleton King on Inferno now. I had to skip two miniboss packs - a rare with Mortar and Invincible Minions (among other things) and a pack of champions with mortar/extra health/walls. Invincible minions and mortar are the only things that I really fear. Extra speed can be tough in the right circumstances though. <p
I think that they kind of missed the point of the gem crafter. It's not gems that are the cutoff for gem upgrades, but gold. It costs 20,000 to combine 3 squares to a flawless square. Thats a hell of a lot. I have enough radiant/square topaz's in my inventory to make 9 flawless squares. I'm just not going to spend 180,000 to do it. When you look at all my gems, it would take like a third of a million to fully upgrade, which just isn't worth
And now the AH is taking money, but not giving players items. As in, you spend the gold, but get nothing. It's apparently happening to almost everybody. Also, there are now quite a few reports of people getting hacked even if they have authenticators. This is going to be hilarious when the real money AH goes live.
