Having a heck of a time getting a good download on the alpha - tried it multiple times on two PC's running different browsers. It starts to extract and then it tells me a whole slew of files have an unsupported compression method error (seems to pick on the .OGG files, fwiw). I'm using 7-Zip 9.2 (the newest non-beta), as it's a 7-Z file. I'm continuing my efforts, but I figured I'd let you guys know in case there's a problem on the server end of
Well, i seriously dont know how to raise the defense by 40%, because an asteroid has a max of 2500 life and Nova deals 3500 dmg. Ok, Hardened Cities - that would be 15%. And Starbases? Srsly? It would mean i have to place a Starbase on all of my planets. Even then, it only means that they survive one or two hits more, so the enemy has simply to fire 2-3 slugs instead of one simultaneously.
Just as a clarification - if you have a starbase wi
I had a couple of ideas, but one was already mentioned above (aimed shots vs. running shots). The other - not to be used in conjunction - is perhaps setting a minimum movement of two for all units. If a unit attacks, they only have a "tactical" move of one that they can make along with it. You would have to select an "attack move" or "standard move" while using the unit. That makes sense to me on a pseudo-realism level, as you're not going to be running full-bore w

None of the flagship mods play nice with this. When Ryat is all done with his minimods, he'll be releasing them and you'll get to play with flagships again.
HUZZAH!!!!!!
Just curious, but does anyone know if the Flagship mod plays nice with this, or is that going to need to be updated?
Just a thought, but perhaps the shapes could align with the techs required to settle them and the colors would differentiate each?
Looks quite nice, but I could have sworn this would be multi-player only. Was the SP reference just because the game couldn't have that selection removed from its menu structure, or was there a decision to go ahead with SP, afterall?
Dear SOGE-Team - Should this reposting give us any hope that a new public offering is around the corner?
Ebla , from E.S. Posthumus
Sounds great, and I'm looking forward to the next version!
Pardon my confusion, but is the Flagship mod that people are referring to the same as this one originally posted by Zombie?
Question, I managed to get this before the link went down again but even though Diplomacy says it is loaded (latest release) It doesn't seem to be appling any changes to Sins? It is enabled but the checksum says it is 0 (I don't know much about that but it usually changes to a long number when I load mods). I assumed this mod would introduce star trek races and ships correct?
I've sometimes upacked mods into an

Well, there is this which makes it sound like a one-time verification like DA2, but I guess only time will tell: http://tgnforums.stardock.com/385269 User blog:Ausir In response to rumors about <a class="mw-redirect" title="The Witcher 2" href="http://witcher.wiki

Drivers are brand new and work fine with all other games, and the instal was exactly the same as before.
It's not an OS compatibility issue - you're using the same as me. I like those personally, I think one of them can be a bit confusing, as all the ships and structures seem to blend into the background, but it's still a very nice effect. Dunno what all these planets are doing inside nebulas though.
Yep, those are the skyboxes. I suppose the good news is that Ironclad is working on a new patch
Awesome news, Ryat. I know sevearl people who are eagerly looking forward to the next version. Keep up the good work, guys, and know that what you're doing is appreciated far and wide. :)

Works for me, so I'd suggest verifying you have the mods stacked in the correct order - 4.5e fleet mod 4.3e If you can't even get Entrenchment to run, go into the mods folder and rename them (add a 1 or something). That should force the game to start in vanilla. Worst case scenario, you can always reinstall.

Everyone can use propaganda, but the Advent are naturally better at it. The abilities would be better if they were high tier augmentations that narrowed the gap in their specializations, such as 'tithing' for the Advent which increases their tax income rate or 'call to crusade' for the TEC, giving them a culture boost. If at all, I would prefer to see it
