Hmm I wonder what happened to "Sins isn't done yet" that they seemed to indicate a while back. Oh well, they'll tell us for sure when they are ready.
I was told that quite directly, but what that eventually translates into awaits to be seen. In the meantime, I think branching off to something different but not too different is a good idea. Besides, most people can walk and chew gum at the same time, nowadays ;)
...i have noticed that the planetary defense building is not very powerful, perhaps i am doing it wrong tho, do they stack if i build more than one?
The value really starts to show after it's been upgraded through research and you're facing off against a large invasion (such as Pirates) because it hits multiple ships continuously. Against a small force, it will still do damage but the missiles don't focus-fire so it doesn
The sound problem can be easily fixed by simply shutting the effects all the way off in the game and then turning their volume back up. Incase anyone else is having the issue.
Thanks for that - I was always saving, shutting down, and restarting. Your way is MUCH more convenient.

One odd way to get around it would be to do the following: Make a skybox that emulates a world (the sky would be "up" and green land would be "down" although you could keep the starry sky for night maps. Decide that all the bases are in the floating mountain area (I forget what it's called) Redo every ship and tech Make your mod compatible with the DM mod (if you can get the makers permission) give up on having *any* ground units</li

I know that was an old error (so was anima tempest when you had gunships researched and on your Halcyon - you might want to verify if that one causes a minidump), but that got fixed several revisions ago so it's pretty weird that it's come back for you. I wonder if there's some old file or manifest hiding out. Just to clarify, you don't have any other mods loaded besides DS (not PP, not DM) and you never copied anything over to the main game directory, just moved th
Im assuming we tried DM without PP and still getting a dump?
Yep, they're both dumping. So far, I've come up with this: .995: DS works on its own, but not with either minimod in any combination as long as one of them is listed ahead of DS .99: DS works with PP, but not DM

(sorry, TheRezonator - one more bit on boring minidumps .... but excellent question![e digicons][/e] ) UPDATE: using copied manifest files in DM allows things to load up just fine with .99, so it seems like something introduced in .995 is causing the issues. Btw, I'm using the full download for .995, not the patch. EDIT TO THE UPDATE: I take it back. They all enable and get applied just fine, but once I try to start up a game it minidumps with abou
Quoting Star Dragon, reply 2110 note: I also did it without DM included (powerful pirates on top, both with and without copied manifests), still minidumped. *grumble, grumble, grumble* well I have been meaning to get to working that thing out can you give me any specifics as to when the mini dumps happen with Powerful Pirates? Just wanted to mention that I've also tried to set the mods up in the suggested order, copied the manifests to the DM mod folder, and I'm also consistently getting minidumps. DS works fine on its own, so it appears to be some issue with compatibility between them all. I also tried on the lowest graphics settings in case there was some memory issue I was unaware of, but no luck. As long as DS is listed first, it loads fine. Of course, DS overrides the minimods so it mak
two, im playing a game on a large map with 9 players, but i only want 7 players to play and i want a bit of space to start out (not have a hostile Hard AI sitting next door with a flaming pitchfork saying bend over). yet, when i lock the positions of players 2 and 3, (trying to kick the closest AI out of my star system) i still have 3 other AI in my system, 2 hostile and allied and one allied to me? do they shuffle down towards player 1 when

I would guess that depends on your particular system. Best answer I can give you. -dolynick
Gotcha.&n

Thank you, Ryat & -Ue_Carbon. I should have checked on your site, my mistake. Nice catch! I'll admit I'm a little sad my research was for naught, but at least I don't have to hold off on enslaving any more worlds on my flight from THE ULTIMATE EVIL!!!! ;) PS - I played waaaay too much SC2 when I was younger.
