Kalin posted a nice table of the numbers for events at http://www.gc2builder.com/viewtopic.php?p=285#285 It hasn't been tested yet, so a few things might be off. We plan to document all the xml http://www.gc2builder.com/viewforum.php?f=4 , but I'm waiting on v1.1 release before I do any more work on them.

I'm currently modding the DreadLord hulls to be available for every ship style. I'm doing two version as some people said they didn't want the red spots. Version 1 will not have the red spots from the advanced textures, and Version 2 will use all the textures. You can see the difference in the two versions at Link The models are setup to use the mods folder which requires v1.1 beta 2 or g

I've been trying to get my models to load with textures ingame, but it just isn't working. I'm using blender 2.41 with the latest directx export script from http://xoomer.virgilio.it/glabro1/python241.html I've even asked for help on blenders forums, but no luck. Has anyone been able to get textures ingame with blender or any other free alternative?

Animation is possible, but i've encountered a few problems with it. Using the turret model as my test, I've had the hardpoints move to strange locations and also had the model disappear completely. These problems could be related to how the turret is animated, so something simple like a rotating sensor dish might not have any problems.

One of the users on http://www.gc2builder.com created a map from the stars close to earth. Check out the details http://www.gc2builder.com/viewtopic.php?t=115 You need to register to have access to downloads other than the map editor. There will be more and more exclusive content on the site as time goes by, so might as well register

GC2Builder http://www.gc2builder.com/ It'll let you make maps with all known options available for them. I think the scenario editor is mostly working, though a few parts still need to be updated when information is known and tested (see http://www.gc2builder.com/viewtopic.php?t=30 ) It's planned to support all data modding you can do to Galciv2. Another project is planned for packaging and handling mods.

In the near future, any game using Direct3D 10 will probably require driver updates. Microsoft is redoing the way it works, and I don't think it'll be backwards compatible. It's a good thing that Stardock doesn't plan to support Windows 98 in any more game, but now they need to consider support for XP as Vista is just around the corner.

Empties renamed to dummy## worked for me, though BoogieBac said in your post on hardpoints ( https://forums.galciv2.com/index.aspx?ForumID=348&AID=112444 ) that renaming isn't needed. I'm now able to get the models to show ingame, but the textures don't show. If i try to add the model ingame without exports it with textures the game crashes. Not sure what I'm doing wrong because it shows with textures when I load the .X in the directx viewer (from
