Ok, i've got all the tech researched to build one of my custom medium ships but it's still not an option to build. I'm using the same race ship design as before, but I can't get it. I have all the XML files for my custom ships, and I jsut upgraded my version of GC2. I saw in another post about downloading SmartException, so I did. I really really want to use my ships. Hey all, I downloaded the political parties mod by Shadowhawk, extracted the files to my politicalparties folder(the logos and the xml file are both there) but I can't seem to select either of the two parties he made when I set up my custom race. Did I screw up somewhere? -Spencer
That's actually a good idea. I love finding ships(found 3 rangers once) but stealing a ship during combat! That would be, simply put, awesome. I always get a little pissed when I influence a planet into my control but don't get any of the ships in orbit. -Spencer
Yeah, it's a game. If I want realistic....i'll go to work or school, but after those things I want my fantasy. If I want to play a game for it's realism....i'll go play rainbow six. As for the battles....how tactical can you be in space? Weapons on 360 degree rotating turrets, and sheilds and armour and the likes make attacking from a flank sorta' pointless. I had a game where the Alterians had this nasty habit of declaring a war with me and just shooting down my frieghters. Of course, the U.P. had voted on a tax on all races at war that was like 10% of their monthly income, and I had no frieghters! Y'know, I wouldn't want to play GalCiv2 online. I've played free TBS games online and you know what ends up happening? So lifeless nerd spends all day everyday playing it, builds up a huge army, and kills you while your away having a life, or going to work or school. I'm not exactly sure if this would count as a bug, but I keep having a very aggrivating problem with this game. Every now and again the game stutters a little and it may shut down. But then it starts telling me "out of memory" and procedes to delete my saved game. I'm, quite frankly, getting real damn tired of having to start a new every other day. I've been looking but I figured it would be best to ask here. Is there a mod out there that lets you play AGAINST a custom race you made?
