Hopefully they keep lots of the great features which made MoM so great, in this game as well.
From your forum post to Frogboys ears... I hope you are right. I'm a little worried about how training plays way too major of a role determining hitpoints, how players can only play human races, and what appears to be a land only realm(No Myrror, Underwater, etc.,). <

Yes, with Elemental having such massive size maps hopefully we'll have a large list of optional opponents.
Looking Good... even Brock Sampson would be pleased.
Denryu ... something which may bring you some hope is if someone created a race where the vast majority of units should be immune to routing the majority of others would have a strong resistance to routing. A race of undead comes to mind, but unavailable in the base version of the game so you'll hav
Re 'community,' I am not persuaded that larger all by itself means better, and I suspect it tends to be as much or more of a problem as a benefit.
A larger community means more custom made content, bugs reported earlier, game questions/problems answered more quickly, more spread of the game by word of mouth, etc., etc., . Exactly what problems exist from a larger forum community as compared with a smaller forum
And greater replay value via multiplayer only applies to people who *like* multiplayer. I'm gonna give it a try, but I'm not sure I'll end up as happy as Mikey did.
Actually because the community is larger due to the multiplayer community you'll have more choices for available custom game content. The larger community means you'll have your questions more likely answered even 4 years from now. Due to
what about the age-old debate over scarce dev resources--time spent on multiplayer mechanics is time not spent on 'core' parts of the game. And then there's the whole business of worrying about a game getting 'dumbed down' so that it doesn't generate too much grief from a horde of short-attention-span clickaholics. I'm all for Stardock experimenting with TBS multiplayer via the Elemental project, but I hope they'll s
Dangerous words. A game should never need an expansion and thinking about it before finishing the main product is a double-edged sword. One 1 side you are able to prepare ahead of time to make the expansion come easier and flow with the game better. On the other side, it means you achnoledge something that should be in the main original game but are neglectling to deliver it. Broodwars is considered to be
Quoting CapnWinky, reply 3 I agree with NT. I would have liked the variation. All human races just seem boring...especially in a fantasy setting. Probably my only complaint thus far. Not a hater though...we can just mod them in. well, the way I feel about it is I can't say the races are boring until I've actually seen them. Just because some of them would be short or have pointed ears
As long as we have the ability to modify existing technologies as well as add new technologies into the research tree I think the vast majority of gamers will eventually be very satisfied.
I think we should have the modding option to allow the mount and/or rider to fight seperately, thus with time the developers can provide a stable and effective combination within an expansion.
Quoting Vicente, reply 8 Well, all they learn with the Demigod MP will make Elemental MP better in the future I so seriously hope so. The Demigod kerfuffle has done nothing to assuage the worries of this member of the singleplayer crowd about multiplayer stuff doing bad things to Elemental. Makes me wonder if we really wouldn't just be better off with a next-generation Metaverse. (And yes, I know that's
I don't care if specifically a race of orcs, elves or dwarves exist within a fantasy game, but I would like to see races beyond just humanoids for a fantasy game. It would be the same as creating a sci-fi space game and all the races were just humanoids. I would be happy with a unique selection of fantasy races such as undead, humans, centaurs, insects, lizardmen and demons where each could provide very unique attacks, skills, recruitable units, and resist
Quoting Psiborg, reply 21 Personally, I really don't care about multiplayer for TBS. I agree with you 100%. I like single player because I can play at my speed with the games spec to my licking. No need to compromise.
Well multiplayer also improves the singleplayer games in many ways. First it increases the size of its gaming community which means faster res
Probably even a bigger question would be should the mount(bear; etc;) continue fighting once the rider has died and vise versa?? The vast majority of games have the rider and mounted unit as one single unit, instead of two units being used together.

Not working for me... the link for woca works, but when replacing woca with ntjedi only an error appears. The error reports gremlins stealing my page?? Oh well.
Over 35 million views with the fastest growing history ! I heard all related websites and videos bring the total to over 100 million views when combined.
The Channeller/Sovereign could imbue lots of essence into his familiar... providing it multiple fast deadly attacks yet still keeping it small. Allowing someone to create that super deadly bunny seen from Monty Python and the Holy Grail... this is just something funny crossing my mind. LOL
