I am sure I can make you a better offer -

Don't fight each other with Abyssia, hit Arco while you can! Now you have it. I don't know if Tein Chi still fights Arco, it's all a bit too quiet, I fear that Arco opening a new front means TC quietly lost the war and was forced to accept some not-so-advantageou

He still has his heavy infantry commanded by a mounted, armored knight and a contingent of Amazon archers (if I remember correctly). Other than that, it's mostly chaff (relatively speaking, hehe

In the larger Dom3 community, there is a balance mod, that attempts to reduce some of the overpowering aspects of Areo.. I don't much care either, as long as I am not denied the games and apps I purchased in the past via Impulse and Stardock (which I think should not happen in any case). As for spyware elements built into such clients - be my guest. I use Windows only for gaming and casual browsing, so spy away. All important and serious stuff is on my encrypted Linux partition.

SSDs have their disadvantages - high price per unit of storage space, and said limited life expectancy. Using SSD for everything is mostly colossal waste of money.

First, AFAIK, there is no read limit. There is however a write limit - and lower in case of MLC disks than in case of SLC. I don't know the exact numbers, but I did the estimates and real performance comparison for our server (it's a year back), and I found out that the life expectancy for the OCZ Vertex MLC disks was overstated four times (approx) by the manufacturer, compared to real life expectancy we expected on the production servers. Once again I repeat that it was a ser

Hello, just a word of warning with SSD - I am a system administrator and we used the OCZ Vertex SSDs in a raid array for an I/O intensive RRD database (basically constant reads and writes across all the data). The disks failed after 3 months of use, becoming unusable for writing. We replaced them with Intel SLC SSD disks, and they are happily running since then. With SSD, it's important to understand that each memory cell in the disk have a limited number of writes before it becom

Ah, the honesty bandwagon! ;-) It's a dangerous, uncertain ride with many black passengers, no doubt ;-) Abyssia - I am on the shore too, my resource income in the capital is also somewhat lower than it could be, but on the other hand, at least one direction is somewhat covered. Would you rather have potential threats from all sides? This way, you can at least concentrate forces in one direction. You are also lucky that Atlantis does not play - imagine all sorts of horrible amphib
All know that Arcoscephale is a peace-loving nation that seeks only to protect it's own ancient borders. Any rumors to the contrary should be ignored, as all know Ti'en Ch'i is a nation of eunuchs and liars. That said, Themistoclese's Infant Son would love nothing more than for his neighbors to the north to find a satisfying peace.
Protecting borders, eh? Of course Arco means you no harm for the time being, since he is focused on research and by going to war, he would have to reallocate resources. But in the end, there can be only one ultimate winner, and once Arco's superior research provides powerful spell that will shake the world, it will be already too late. Once again, I would advise Abysia and Marverni to forget their unproductive hatred and plan action against the most powerful nation that threaten us all - Arcoscephale.

Yeah, magic duel, horror marks, curses, lots of horrible spells out there, but fortunately, monkey king Louis is a true macho and thinks magic is for pansies, so it's strictly brutal force versus even more brutal force. And in such (ladies will forgive) "d*ck measuring contest", Hanan'el always has a few extra inches to beat ;-) Well, i think the stat posting does not fit the roleplaying well (It's okay IMO to write: "His might alone could move whole mountain
