Waiting for Agartha...

Ah, I get it, by using inferior actresses as shock troops, you are hoping for the effect of cultural shock when the armies clash. However, it takes more than a stiff facial expressions and wooden pantomime to withstand the attack of fierce avvite chariots. Plus, your ladies will soon find that the enormous clouds of dust that sometimes obscure even the sun can seriously wreck their expensive make-up. I sincerely hope Jeniffer has not become too sinewy from all those aerobic sessions.
For those wondering, I've found you can usually put your starting troops on patrol and raise your taxes to 140%-150%; the patrolling troops quash the unrest, and you get more money. I'm sure other races can go to higher or lower degrees of taxation without incurring unrest. Just don't forget to turn your taxes back down when you stop patrolling.
This tactics, of course, has a downside - po
Whatever is this guy smoking, I want some of it!
Lancers bad. Our Kohen Ezechiel once ate a lancer and the lance got stuck in the back of his throat. Not pretty. We called the Melquart from the nearby Hill Fort, and he ate Esteemed Ezechiel with the lance still stuck in the throat - those who saw it swear he swallowed just once. As I said - lancers are bad... very bad. Bandar apes much better - you just spit out the mace.
Really, AI wars. The only strategy game with an AI worth the name. Check it out.
Okay, the game is on! First move sent.
So now only 2 pretenders are missing, Lanka and Atlantis. I sent PMs to both players, and if they don't respond, I suggest dropping them and starting tomorrow at the latest. Frankly, all this endless waiting is just killing the original anticipation for the game. Anyway, I find it hard to believe that players who don't even check their messages and upload the pretender have enough dedication to send their moves in time and make it through the game. We all know we have been waiting for
"...fear the dark, my lads, be very afraid..." - Mistress of the Dark
... I don't know if that will have the desired effect here - I think for Abyssia and Agartha, darkness is pretty much their natural habitat, having infravision and all, and as for Atlantis, the depths of the oceans are sure to be at least "dimly lit". ;-)
... newbie game, eh? ;-)
I guess that applies not to the map itself, but to a specific game people played before us on the same map. I tried a test SP game with the same amount of players, and no problems whatsoever occurred. There is, however, a lake surrounded by land provinces - if Atlantis starts inside, he is pretty much goner ;-)
Okay, done. Couple of questions, before we start: 1) Diplomacy - what does it mean, "keep your word"? I don't think it's wise making obligatory rules about what you can and cannot say - I am a player of the tabletop "Diplomacy", and everyone can say and do whatever he pleases there... what others make of it is their problem. 2) What will be time-limit on turns? We should have some, I propose one move per day - definitely not shorter, as we come from diffe
Better post a screenshot. That way, it can't be easily googled, yet still specific enough. Your description is too vague - can you at least name the platform?
... I think EA Ermor is not the undead flood as LA Ermor, right?
You mean.... when SHE gets back. I still can't belive there are women playing games like Dom3.
So... where should we upload pretenders, and when do we start?
People ... you don't understand... they forgot the magic, EVERYTHING!!! It's a common scenario, an established cliche. Remember all those amnesiac thrillers, when the hero awakens in a lunatic asylum and doesn't remember anything. First he only screams and howls, clawing the padded walls, the orderlies come to sedate him, he manages to fight them of barehanded, runs away, grabs a metal pipe protruding from a wall, beats security with the pipe, gets their guns, shoots more
I did try it, but did not find it interesting enough. If I want to play online Hack and Slash, I play Mount and Blade.
I have been playing Civ 5 for some time after the latest patch, and I can say even it's "deep" combat system is just an inferior clone of the old hex-based games like Fantasy general or its modern incarnation, Elven legacy. Still, years old Fantasy General is much better than Civ5. Why? Because of greater consistency. Ranged units, for example, fire back when they have sufficient range to match the attacker. Makes sense, right? No more exploity ganging up on one unit with
Well, I have played a few games with the new patch and I must confess it looks much, much better. I managed one science victory on Prince with Egyptians and 3 other AI, and they were quite reasonable. You can see now actual fleet - I met a group of five caravels, too bad I had destroyers by then ;-) The AI also tries to haggle for peace when you approach its undefended cities. It even tried to mount a few invasions now and then, but sadly, it still lacks any notion of c
Well... I was undecided between Hinnom and Ulm - I love Ulm, after all, who needs magic when you have steel, but allegedly, it sucks badly. I have lost badly with Ulm in one of the two games I played so far. Let's see what those Giants have to offer...
I have already sent my picks, sorry for not responding faster. But, isn't this supposed to be a n00b game? I see a lot of technical talk about SC rush, sacreds, etc. As true n00bs, you should pick units and pretenders according to how much like their pictures. You should roleplay as much as possible, not caring much about losses and wins. And most importantly - you absolutely have to make obvious blunders! That, and much more I expect from you, my fellow co-pretenders!
Yes, that is correct. Sorry for being unclear. It's a minor glitch, but it's still noticeable.
A surprising answer would be: "No, honestly, it feels like rehashed rubble, but we are afraid to cancel the project because Brad would go postal and kill us all." :-) Honestly, what answer would you expect? Could any employee working on a do-or-die project after a major market failure with the last one publicly admit the game is less than perfect? He/she would be fired on the spot in the worst case, and frowned-upon in the best case. We just have to wait to see/test some publi
