Do people never think about this sort of multiplayer? ship design takes ages, it would be a nightmare. Ship design takes seconds. Throw engines, weapons defences extras etc... now if you wanted something PRETTY then yeah but functional only takes seconds. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_D

Perchance the only thing that may put this one on the shelf, is no multiplayer. Thats the BEST way to fix the AI problem if you ask me. How to implement this so it works well and is still fun? Don't know. Still a great game by comparison though.
Here is the ChangeLog for 1.1 BETA-2 GalCiv II: v1.1 BETA 2 Change Log By Draginol Posted Thursday, March 30, 2006 on Opinionated Techie Discussion: GalCiv Dev Journals The only major feature we're going to be adding to 1.1 after this is the modder's UI stuff. Everything else will get put into 1.2. I think people will like some of this week's changes. This version will be on Stardock Central
Yeah well apparently it is version 1.1 BETA-2 now
The beta Version I have is v1.1 BETA-1. But apparently this IS different from the one through SD Central... *Shrug*
Yeah normal starbases affect ONLY what is in range. Economy, Influence only affect planets in the radius. Military only affect ships in the radius (unless in orbit of a planet). Now you CAN make more than one to overlap and get more bonuses. Just FYI.
I guess after a few weeks of gaming it's time for me to weigh in on the few things (and I only mean FEW) that bother me. 1) AI: When allied or close relations with an AI and it is under attack, for some stupid reason it surrenders to the ENEMY. IE: In one game it is the Torian, myself, and the Drengin. I am ALLIED with the Torian and fighting a war against the Drengin. The Drengin control roughly half of the map and myself and the

I have a suggestion for an addition to this great game. Nebulas. Like un-pathable areas, where you can not fly through. IE: Pathing blockers. Maybe an option on galaxy create to choose how many are randomly placed on a map. I would mainly like to see them for use in the map editor (whenever it becomes available). That way i could make "secure" sectors with "crunch" or "squeeze" points. One way in and one way out etc... I think that woul
Hey Everyone, I hope someone here can shed some light on a problem i am having. Here goes Using this formula I found for population I am confused as to why a Class 10 planet that can supposedly HOLD at maximum around 26.62b people, keeps having like a 30% approval. When I look at the approval info, it says something like -70% because of population. Now I only have around 20b people and I have 4 Advanced farming Mod
Does anyone know how to make custom star types for each race(s) homeworlds? IE: Lets say I want the Thalans (bug people) star color to be GREEN with a BLUE Halo... Now I can change all of one type (like Yellow) to be Green with a Blue Halo, but then ALL of the habitable star systems have the same color. Being Alien races and all it would be nice to give the Yor a Purple Star, Thalan a Green, Iconian Blue, etc... Is this in any way, shape, or form poss
